Gale just nodded, making sure the wings of the arrow were right.

Gale found tracks, motioning for her to head the other direction so they could trap the animal. He heard the shout of guards, his head whipping around as he realized they'd seen him. Cheese went and tackled Kayla down a hill, the guards figuring it was a hunting dog getting an animal. "You should no it-" The guard cut off, taking a closer look at the man. "You--You're Gale Hummendeus." Gale just nodded, chuckling. "You're under arrest for over 20 charges, 5 prison breaks, and suspicious activity." The man took off, not getting arrested... again. The guards chased after him, outnumbering him and eventually catching up, shackling him before dragging him through the town. They brought Gale before the court, his punishment being whipped in the square---not imprisoning him just yet. He pleaded and pleaded over and over, begging for anything other than it. He was dragged to the middle of the square, zipping his mouth shut and biting the inside of his cheek to show no reaction. The guards brought him to his knees, discarding of his tunic as they bound him by the wrists with rope to the wooden post. Over 60 lashes were delivered, Gale passing out at around 30. Once they were done, they left, leaving the stones beneath him a river of red. A few of his allies he'd made at the camp emerged from the crowd, quickly untying him and carrying him over to the medic tent at the camp. "Somebody get Kayla, now!" ~*~ Once Kayla arrived back at camp, a man sprinted over, eyes wide. "K-Kayla, please, it's Gale." He murmured, having her follow him back to the medic tent where Gale was stretched out on a cot, a group of medics working their way around him. Wounds being cleaned, assuming which shreds of flesh could and couldn't be saved. He still lay unconscious, looking 10 years younger there.

"oh my God, Gale" she breathed, shaking and now crying silently. She placed a hand on his cheek, looking at him with tear-filled eyes. "Oh, baby, no. No, no, baby..." She breathed shakily
