The doctor had woken up by then, and had heard the teens talking a bit before meal time. He decided to go ahead and just get the patients fed himself...the cook did all the cooking but he could hand it out while he did rounds. Talking to the girl had seemed to help Sage, and he supposed they had to get the cat set up, and the girl was heasitant to leave him alone if he was upset or had fallen asleep after such a long night. That was fine....they were still young, and if he was being honest, he sort of wanted to watch their relationship grow. The girl was good for sage...and of course he couldn't help but think about grandchildren. Sage himself was still out cold...he'd slipped into a much deeper sleep than Mari had, since he was still rather tired from not sleeping the night before.

The girl was happy to sleep for as long as she could. She did know she had to get up at some point, but her sleep was slowly getting deeper and deeper, and the more she rested, the less she wanted to get up again. She eventually flipped over and ended up with an arm wrapped around Sages side, while the other hand was resting underneath the cat's head. Her head was still running with things she had to do... but she also wanted to sit here with Sage and the kitten for as long as she could.

Sage felt the girl shift and subconsciously scooted into the girl's warmth, nestling up to Mari kind of like how the cat nestled up into him. Amber made a tiny noise in complaint when he first scooted away from her but then gave a satisfied mrrp when he pulled her closer again. Really, he was treating the cat like a baby...very similar to how he'd treated Att. Not quite the same, but she kind of was his baby at this point. Besides, he could spoil her...she was sweet and deserved it a bit. And...well, cuddling with the girl was nice too. The cay was fluffy, and warm, but sage had to admit he liked snuggling up with Mari a lot too. She was cozy, and smelled nice.

Mari did eventually get into a deeper sleep, much to her appreciation. She found that she didn't quite get to sleep like this. She wasn't sure why, but she was comfortably snuggled up with Sage and the cat, of course... that may have something to do with it. When she next woke up, though, it was so dark... the moon was peeking through the window, and everything was just quiet. But it wasn't eerie... it was calm and peaceful. She could hear the kitten quietly purring away in the corner and the soft in and out of Sage's breath. She had half a mind to wake him up and make sure he got to his own bed, but the other half just wanted to sit there a little bit longer. So, she dozed off again, this time so easily.

Sage didn't even notice when the girl woke up....he was still quite tired. Though, eventually, as he shifted around, he turned over so he was facing the girl and kind of sunk under the covers a bit, where it was warmer. Amber hopped over him to curl up against his neck, and stayed in between both of them, so they'd ended up just being one big pile of limbs. It was comfortable though, and all Sage knew was that he was warm and was sleeping better than he had in a long time, so he was definitely not complaining.

Mari gave a bit of a groan at the boy's slight movement... only because it meant she had to readjust her arm, and the cat had moved from the comfortable position. Even so, she soon fell back to sleep. She had work to do the next morning, and she certainly wasn't trying to sleep in. The better the rest she got now, the better she'd feel the next morning... or, that was what she hoped. She felt the sun shining through the window within a couple of hours... but it was still very early, so she could wait for the doctor to come and wake her or for Sage to move from his position under the covers.

Sage woke up when the sun hit his face, and stirred slightly but really only tilted his head to bury his face in Amber's fur with a quiet groan of complaint. He went to stretch, though when he hit skin, he opened his eyes curiously. He realized he was entangled with the girl, and felt a blush spread over his face, though he wasn't wanting to move at all...it was cozy and warm.

Mari gave a bit of a groan when the boy hit her during his little stretch and kind of batted his hand away lazily. "Stoopp," she moaned in what sounded to be an extremely tired voice before cuddling in a bit more and pulling the blankets up. She did have to take a moment to register what had happened, but soon enough she realised she was actually cuddled up with the boy... admittedly, a light blush did paint her cheeks, but soon enough she shuffled in a bit more and burrowed her face into him, really just seeking out any kind of warmth. She was so comfortable... more so than she'd been in a very long time, and Sage didn't really seem to care, so she could cuddle up as much as she wanted to.

Sage huffed out a breath in response to the girls groan, and felt his blush deepen when she cuddled in closer. He sort of heasitated for a moment before wrapping an arm around the girl but kept the other one wrapped around Amber, who was quite liking the warmth from the two giant teddy bears around her. Sage liked it as much as the cat, admittedly, and sort of just nestled his head against Mari's, since her hair smelled nice. He definitely was going to sleep in for a while.

Mari couldn't help the slight smile that covered her face when the boy wrapped an arm around her... she really was so so comfortable. It was morning now, though, so she would have to get up, despite just not wanting to move at all. She wasn't really sure how they'd ended up like this, but she wasn't going to no more or question it at all. She quite liked it, actually. She hurried her head into crook of his neck before settling down again, and eventually drifting back of to sleep again... she was exhausted, and right then all she wanted to do was relax with Sage and of course Amber for the time being.
