He watched as Rocky saw a dog on the TV, erupting in barks. "Hey Rocky, yeah let's not." The dog looked back at him, to the TV, then trotted off.

Max chuckled, standing. "I'm gonna go shower real quick," He explained, grabbing some clean clothes before heading to go shower. As the hot water ran over his shoulders, he thought back to the meeting. A 8.6% raise...on the biggest project of the year. It'd look good on his resume, but he wouldn't have enough time outside of it for Kylie. Working later, getting to work earlier, it'd all be too much. Was he willing to risk it?

Kylie nodded, "Okay," she hummed, sitting on the couch alone, waiting for him to come back.

Max came back out in a hoodie and a pair of sweatpants, settling back beside her.

Kylie glanced over with a smile, continuing to watch the movie.

He slipped his arm back around her shoulders, flicking his attention to the screen.

Kylie continued to watch the movie. When it was over she stood, stretching. "I should head back, see you tomorrow?"
