(thats the best part xD) "Yeah, game probably will go down and even then it'll be hard to even find anything edible." She mused, starting to eat the deer. Elara listened and thought back to the town, knowing Amy would be fuming as she was looking for Sage. Too bad for that bitch, Elara wasn't letting her ruin him like that again.

(for realllll loll) Sage nodded, thinking to the woods around them. "I can go around and gather the edible plants and such around here, I just...can't go super far yet," he added, brows furrowing, wishing he wasn't weak. That he could go help more. This was important, and he could barely do anything.

"Hey, it'd be helpful though. And don't you worry about not being able to go super far, you'll get back to how you were months ago, I promise. And once you do then we'll both hunt and gather the edible plants, for now we have to split it up and we'll get the same result as if we were mixed." She tried to explain, finishing the meat.

Sage sighed softly and nodded. "I know," he murmured. "It's just...it's hard knowing there's important things to be done in a relatively short amount of time and I can help with like ten percent of it all," he half grumbled, though not mad at anyone. Mostly just annoyed with himself a bit. At the cards fate tended to deal him.

Elara shrugged, sliding her plate into the pile. "Eh, you're helping in your own way. Tanning hides, having Varys favor you and leave me alone for five minutes, you help with a lot of things you haven't realized." She once again tried to explain, twiddling her dagger in her hands.

Sage hummed softly, trying to believe her. It did make him feel a bit better, knowing she wasn't upset with doing more work...but still, he wished he could get up and go hunting. Explore and gather more things before winter hit and the plants froze. Getting a horse might be helpful....but that was expensive, and he'd need to build it a shelter and pen, so he'd need to be healthy before then. It was just a lose-loae situation at the moment. "I suppose so," he noted in though, poking at the fire with a stick. Edited at March 21, 2025 08:10 AM by NightClan

"Just don't think that you're useless, because you're far from that." Elara said, casting a glance over at the man before putting her dager back into its sheath and taking out her arrows, inspecting them one by one after scooting up to the fire.

Sage hummed softly, offering her a small smile. He did appreciate her words, and it was good to know she didn't mind. "I'll go start gathering some of the plants within a couple mile radius," he noted, setting his empty plate down. He moved to grab his dagger as well as some baskets and such to put things in before handing Liz off to Elara and whistling for Varys to follow him.

"Alright," She responded, smiling in return. Elara took Liz from Sage and watched as Varys ran after him, eyes darting around, looking for prey as he usually did with Elara. "Hey you might have to keep him with you because if you don't he's going to take off and come back with a hare or somehintg." She warned, setting a few arrows into their sheaths.

Sage chuckled softly and nodded. "If he does, I'll add it to the basket," he mused. "But I'll keep him nearby me," he added. He did flash her a more mischevious grin though as he headed off. "If I didn't know any better I'd think you were worried abotu me," he teased. He knew she cared if he got hurt...that was evident. But still, he could tease her a little bit.
