Camery flashed a light smile to him. It was pretty... but it was his ball, so she didn't want to take any credit for it. It was all him. But the stones under the window looked good, and the lights made for a dark but dreamy atmosphere. She chuckled to him when he offered her his hand, and gave a light nod. The song rang a bell to her, though when she looked back at him all she could see was that bright, goofy grin of his. It was perfect. She sighed and placed her hand softly in his. "Of course, good sir," she mused happily.

Camery squeaked a little when he pulled her into the dance floor, although moved to rest one hand on his shoulder, and the other gently in his hand. She smiled lightly. It all seemed like a habit now - she had always been encouraged to dance with people. It seemed so harmless, a nice way to build a relationship with people. She kept her chin up, though, so that she was looking him in th eye. She sighed softly to him at his comment, though s grin crossed her face and her eyes light as they swayed together. "So you keep saying," she chuckled. "Though, I do happen to think you're quite handsome, no?"

Camery smiled lightly after a moment, his silly grin just lighting her up. She hummed and moved to sort of rest her head on his shoulder. It was an unconscious movment, but one that knew she was just comfortable. "You're welcome your highness!" She chirped happily.

Camery felt his arms wrap around her, and sort of moved to carefully cross her arms around his neck. They swayed peacefully, although all movement paused when she heard his voice, and blinked for a moment as he shoulders dropped. It was nice to hear... but she couldn't say she loved him back. It would be so unfair, because she didn't. Not like this, and not yet. There was still an element of mistrust that laced through her whole being, not fully safe or comfortable by any means. That's why Jack was watching them carefully from the corner, keeping an eye on anyone he thought could be sketchy. She closed her eyes and burried her nose into his shoulder quietly, not saying anything in reply but swaying rhythmically to the music.

Camery shook her head softly after a moment, her brows pinched together as he head rested on his shoulder. "I'm sorry, I just can't," she replied quietly. She didn't want to lie to him... especially about this. She didn't want to give him false hope, either. She looked at the clock in the corner, then the people that were starting to gather on a small pedestal. She leaned back a little, her arms still wrapped around him. "It's time for your speach," she whispered gently to him.
