Mercy gave him a flat stare and blinked at him a few times for his answer. "...the only effort it requires is saying spicy. So do you WANT it spicy or NOT-?" She asked, chuckling at him. Afterwards, she shrugged and gave him a mockingly sweet look. "What can I say? I'm good with dogs." She teased. "So spicy or no?" She giggled.

Ajax glared at her for a moment, then snorted as she said she was good with dogs. "Entirely unhelpful, Mercy. Un-help-ful." He growled, crossing his arms with an indignant expression. "Not spicy." He answered. "I don't know how I could make that more clear." Ajax grinned

"Bad boy- no growling at me." Mercy scolded sarcastically, wagging a finger at him. She glared at hik and his snarky comment, picking up her pen and tossing it at him. "You didn't make it clear WHATSOEVER! So, not spicy it is." She laughed, picking up her phone and dialing the phone number.

"You- Hey- Arghhh." Ajax huffed irritably, shutting up when Mercy called whatever or whoever she was calling because he didn't want the person that answered to hear him complaining in the background. "Not cool." He mouthed, shoving himself up off and the ground with a slight wince of pain. He was actually getting a little stiff... with all his injuries, and not having moved in a while. Ajax paced around the apartement for a second before stopping by the window again with a sigh. Someday Mercy would actually let him go back out there. Yes, he could physically overpower her with immense amounts of pain and shove his way out... but that didn't seem like the brightest option.

Mercy gave him a smug smile, protected by her phone. She rolled her eyes at his mouthed comment, placing her order easily and hanging up shortly after. She watched him walk to the window and raised her eyebrows. "You look like a toddler about to have a temper tantrum." She teased, walking over to him.

Ajax started smoking slightly, which wasn't something he had done since his first accident when Mercy found him. Really, since then, he hadn't had the energy to smoke... because that was just a *trick* he had thought up to make himself either look scarier or angrier. This was a good sign, because it meant he was feeling better. The smoke rose up from his shoulders in small wreaths that curled upward through the air, and, with some concentration from Ajax, disappeared once they got above his head. "HARUMPH." He growled back, continuing to stare out the window. Believe it or not, the smell of smoke relaxed Ajax and pleased him that he could do this trick again. It smelled like a campfire... no smoke smelled 'good', but to him it was nice. It smelled like home, since he usually had a fire going in his cave. Ajax's shoulders sagged slightly as he kept thinking about the wilderness.

Mercy frowned as tendrils of smoke started coming up from him, looking slightly concerned until he made the most cartoon-esque noise he could. She rolled her eyes and nodded. "Right, my bad. You ARE a toddler about to have a temper tantrum." She teased, swatting at the smoke by his shoulders.

Ajax turned and glared at her for a second before giving it up as a lost cause and looking back at the window. "Me not a tod-ler you very wrong. Humphness no fair." He tried to speak in a normal voice, but by the end there was undertoning chuckles. Ajax looked like he was going to say more, but obviously couldn't, or he would be laughing instead of speaking. "Hey don't swat at my smoke." Ajax snorted

Mercy returned his glare with a sweet smile, leaning against the glass. She couldnt help but chuckle after his little outburst. "I always knew you could speak neanderthal." She teased, aggressively fanning his smoke away when he seemed bothered by it. "I have to. You're too hot, it's a fire hazard." She said playfully.

Ajax's face just become more sour with his glare more deadly as Mercy smiled. "You always knew." He repeated sarcastically, swatting her hands away as she fanned his smoke more. "Was that a compliment? I couldn't tell." Ajax asked drily, Mercy's words just encouraging more smoke to writh off of his shoulders. "And you're so cold Rex just might freeze." He teased back, a small smile playing at the corner of his lips.
