On a good note... I no longer have to fight for a parking space at my apartment complex. There's been 2 unused handicapped spots available since we moved in, and now one of them is mine.

I'm a mixed bag of emotions tonight as I sit here. I just went and got the mail and my handicapped placard arrived. I am happy for the small mercies, but on the other hand, it makes me almost feel less than as well. I'm not that old.
