Woody's too smart for his own good, so he can get himself into trouble purely for the love of the game. With Ernie, the big gelding I used to show I (lovingly) say that the wheel was spinning but the hamster's dead. Bless his heart

Ash- you're not wrong to be fair lol. Im planning to play it by ear with Ted but I think possibly doing the initial sitting on his back etc myself where he's most comfortable then sending him to someone for a gentle boot camp might be his best option

lol Min I’m stealing that phrase, that’s brilliant. Will definitely be using that at work haha
Oakmoss Stud
I like to customise the controls myself, but if I had something particularly sharp I'd probably send it away in the hopes of self preservation. Woody was the easiest pony in the world to start, I managed it when I was 13 and clueless, but I definitely put a few buttons in the wrong place 🤣

Minnie has historically made choices that didn't reflect her best self, but she's pretty chill nowadays to be honest. And Ted's just a special little soldier

Sending them away to be backed is probably more economical in the long term than getting injured 😅

I'm so down 🤣 I did see a very cute Suffolk colt for sale, I have such a soft spot for them now that I've ridden a few. But I'm running out of kidneys to put on eBay, so perhaps now 🤣🤣

I think you should get a rising 3yo now Oak and then we can compare hospital reports when we're backing at similar times 🤣🤣
Oakmoss Stud
The riding school I learned to ride at had a shetland called Basil who was an absolute arsehole. Used to commit GBH on children for fun. I loved that pony
Oakmoss Stud
I keep playing with the idea of buying another youngster to produce and actually sell it this time, but I know it won't happen. I just need to win the lottery, that's the current game plan 🤣
Minerva
But I am really enjoying the idea of having a fluffy little prick running about the place. It would need to be fairly ballsy to match Minnie's energy because she walks all over poor Ted

I also know that theres no way Id be able to sell the foal so then Id have 4 horses on my barely above minimum wage job, plus at some point in the next year Ill have the house to pay for as well
