Iris felt a sort of dejavu as they made their way to the roof, though the air was more relaxed between her and Caden than before. She had remembered to bring a coat and was glad she had. There was no wind up there, but the chilly autumn air bit at her nose and cheeks, tinting them red.

Caden went and sat at their usual spot, waiting until she sat beside him to wrap an arm around her shoulders. He too had worn warmer clothes, thicker jeans, and he'd brought a coat this time. Learned from his mistakes. "I'm glad theres no wind today,"

Iris nodded, sitting down next to him. "Me, too. Last time was a little chilly." She settled herself under his arm, leaning up against him. His steady breathing and body heat moved through her, breathing slowing to a normal, not cold pace.

"And also last time I made the mistake of wearing just a hoodie with no jacket and shorts, real smart move." Caden chuckled, the sound genuine for what seemed a long time. He noted how she settled against him so easily, how comfortable she looked as well.

Iris smirked a little. "Guys just don't seem to have any idea of how to dress in cold weather." She noticed how he wasn't tense or fidgeting, and didn't look fearful anymore. She hoped he wasn't worried about Carmen anymore and could just relax.

"Wow, but I mean.. you're not wrong so i've gotta give it to you." He mused with a chuckled, looking over at her with a grin before looking back out at the city. The lights twinkling faintly from skyscraper windows blended into the skies dotting the night sky like leaves on the ground.

Seeing he was acting normal, Iris settled in even more. "I know. I mean, I've seen some guys in shorts in the dead of winter. Personally, I would freeze to death. But, I don't know, maybe you have tougher skin or something." She looked up at the starless sky, clouds covering most of her sight.

"I mean, literally lived in a tundra for... what, 16 years? And now I get cold in 50° weather." He mused, somewhat questioning it. The man pulled Iris a smidge closer, glad she had settled so easily beside him.

|
Iris accepted his pulling her closer, not minding at all. "I've lived here my whole life and I've only seen a lot of snow, what, three times? Three that I can remember anyway. There are some disadvantages to living in the city."

"I'll have to take you to Moscow some day, i'm sure you'd enjoy it. Snows alot, can't avoid it if you try." Caden explained, nodding at her words. "Back out in Pheonix the coldest it would get was I think 50 degrees, a lot different than Russia."
