Sage couldn't help but laugh as Remy dragged him down to the beach, pausing to toss his shirt onto the sand and then Wade in slowly as remys tail reformed and he guided him through the waves.

Remy smiled at him, slowly leading him deeper into the water until he couldn't touch. The two of them swam out to sea, Remy making sure Sage was okay, and stopping for him to rest when he needed too, keeping the two of them afloat with his tail while Sage held onto him to rest. Once they were pretty far out, Remy stopped, "Okay, when we go down, I'm gonna store air for you in my lungs. When we exchange the air, you're going to exhale through your nose, and then I'm going hold your nose closed and exhale into your mouth while you inhale. I can store about 4 exchanges in my lungs while using my gills. Just squeeze my hand when you need air, okay? We can come back up anytime you want, and we'll come back up on the last exchange,"

Sage let Remy lead him a good long ways out to sea, growing more excited as they got further out. He nodded excitedly when Remy explained what to do, giving him a grin. "So I get kisses and air? Sound good to me," he teased lightly. "Lead the way," he chirped. He was a good swimmer....you had to be in the military, so with Remy there they had probably close to 20 minutes they could be down there.

Remy smiled and chuckled. He nodded, sinking into the water just enough to switch to his gills. While using his gills, he took a deep breath of air, filling his lungs with oxygen for him. He took Sages hand and when he was ready dove under the surface. Out here, it was crystal clear, and deep, but you could still see the bottom 40ft down. They were inside a small reef, teeming with life.

Sage took a deep breath when Remy did, letting the merman pull him down and under the water, eyes immediately widening. It was beautiful....peaceful, just like Remy had said. He found himself staring wide eyed at it all, trying to take in every detail.

Remy swam down to the bottom with Sage, swimming through the reef slowly, always holding Sages hand so he could let him know when he needed air.

Sage swam along next to Remy, grin on his face as he took in every detail, already imagining the things he could paint or draw. After around three or four minutes though, his chest began to feel tight, so he gently squeezed remys hand when he knew he'd need a breath soon.

Remy squeezed his hand back, letting him know he knew. The two stopped and Remy instructed Sage to exhale, before Remy gently held Sages nose closed as he sealed his lips over Sages and exhaled into Sages lungs, giving him the oxygen he stored for him.

Sage had followed remys instructions, letting the other boy tug him in close and move him how he wanted. He was relieved to feel the oxygen slide into his lungs, and when Remy pulled back he places a quick kiss on his cheek, letting him know it worked and they were good to go

Remy smiled, pecking his cheek back. He felt this overwhelming urge just to pin him against a wall and kiss the shit him, but he refrained from it. Instead Remy took his hand again, continuing to swim. The two of them came across a small pod of dolphins. Remy smiled as one of them approached them.
