Sage hummed in thought and then shrugged."doesn't matter to me," he hummed. He opened an eye to give the girl a rather teasing look. "You should know that by now," he chuckled. He shrugged slightly at her response to where her mother and older brother were at...he wasn't worried, they could both take care of themselves and eachother. He absentmindedly stroked the cat while they sat there, though when the girl flipped down next to him, he leaned over to rest his head on her shoulder lightly. "Do you have anything you want to eat? You know I don't care," he hummed. "Though, going shopping seems like a lot of work," he chuckled. He'd go if she wanted of course, and would probably enjoy it, but getting up seemed like a lot of effort.

The girl gave a bit of a chuckle to him before shrugging. "I know, but I might as well ask," she told him with a light smile as she reached out to pet the ginger cat on the head, to which she cackled out a purr and stretched her head back a little bit so she got a scratch between the ears. The girl was amused by this, to say the least. "You're a guest so if there's anything you'd like then I should make it for you," she hummed softly before shaking her head. "I'll just make up a chicken pie or something," she hummed softly before standing up. "It does sound like work, doesn't it... tell you what, go and get showered and wash the lake water off you and I'll run to the market. I won't be long," she hummed lightly before forcing herself up and went to change into some less sand-covered clothes before reappearing and wandering over to the kitchen sink to grab a basket.

Sage chuckled and nodded, rolling his eyes slightly at the cats antics before shrugging. "I know," he hummed. He nodded again, chirping 'sounds fine to me" to the girl. He wrinkled his nose slightly the girls suggestion. "I'd rather go with you, if you don't mind," he hummed. "Besides, I'd just be changing back into these so a shower isn't very useful," he chuckled, setting the cat down on the couch gently and padding over to the girl. Even if he had clothes to change into or felt dirty...which he didn't and he wasn't...he wasn't likely to shower anyway. He just wasn't a fan unless it was really awful and he was covered in blood or something.

The girl shrugged slightly to the boy and gave a small smile. "Whatever you'd like... I just thought it would be nice for you to relax a little," she hummed lightly. "You could have borrowed something from Anthony... he's a bit taller but you're about the same size," she shrugged before opening the door. "Come on then. If we have any change then we might be able to get some snacks or something," she chirped lightly before beckoning him over. "You'll have to leave the cat, she can't come with us," she told him in an amused tone before making her way out of the little shack and towards the little market.

Sage chuckled and shrugged at the girl's comments. "I can manage in one outfit, it's fine," he hummed. "I might as well go with you, I'd probably get too bored otherwise and burn the house down or something," he chuckled. He patted the cats head fondly, murmuring a farewell to her before bouncing out after the girl, a kind of dumb grin lingering on his face.

The girl rolled her eyes at him before sighing and giving a nod. "Fine. But you can get changed for bed because I don't want your Leakey clothes in my bed, she told him with a bit of a chuckle. She then looked at him with a cocked head. "I'd have to hurt you if you burnt my house down," she told him with a bit hint of amusement in her voice. They got into the market pretty quick and she made a beline for the meat stand, and got a little bag filled with chicken breast, then went towards a veggie stand to get some onion and mushrooms. She then looked to the boy again with furrowed brows as she was looking for some of the nicer vegetables. "You do like mushrooms right? I don't have to put them in if you don't," she told him with a huff. She nodded once she replied and looked through her little basket and declared that was all they needed. They started on their way back and she gave a bit of a hum. "When were you wanting to go back to the castle? Tomorrow?" She asked curiously.

Sage giggled and out his hand over his heart as if promising the girl as he nodded with a grin. "That's fair," he chuckled. He made a face and nodded at her next comment before following her out the door happily. He was more than happy to follow the girl around the market while she shopped, giving her the same grin later on when she asked him about the mushrooms and then again when she mentioned they were done. He hummed thoughtfully at her question before shrugging. "I don't really care," he hummed. "Tomorrow would work fine with me."

The girl smiled lightly as they walked... really, they hadn't talked much, but she was surprised to find that it wasn't awkward... it was actually quite comfortable. She was the kind of person that couldn't sit in silence, but it was easy with Sage, which was admittedly nice. She liked the boy, she really did... she'd listen to his laugh all day if she could, and her smile made her feel... light. Like she was walking on clouds, almost. She felt like she could talk to him about anything, and if he trusted her enough, she'd listen to his unloading if it helped him. She looked in the little basket and found some spare change... it wasn't much but it was enough to get a treat to share between the two of them. "Do you want to go pick something nice out of us? Something sweet, maybe!" She asked the boy with a grin.

Sage was more than content to plod alongside the girl, almost like a dog kept close to it's owners side. Well, like a dog should anyway ... Not like the stray dogs he was used to. But either way, he had a faint outline of a dumb grin on his face as he walked along side the girl, close enough that their hands almost touched as they walked. For some reason, that made him feel almost giddy. He looked over at the girl with a cocked head when she started rummaging around in the bag, though he nodded in response to her question, a wide grin forming on his face. "Sounds good to me," he chirped. It was kind of like a little date, but between friends...it would definitely be nice.

Mari gave an enthusiastic smile when the boy chirped his agreement, and made her way towards an almost more... childish section of the market. Well, it wasn't childish, but it was about three or four stands filled with sweets and chocolate and cakes and an assortment of other exotic treats and stuffed animals and toys... they didn't have much money left, but there was no reason that the two of them couldn't pick up anything nice, either. She paused and handed the money to Sage before gesturing to the little stands. "Pick whatever you want," she hummed lightly. They could take it back to the house or eat whatever the boy picked up by a fountain in the centre of the market square if he so pleased.
