Gale led the way, getting into the tavern and slapping down some coins before gulping down his first glass.

Kayla slowly sipped her drink, watching around them

Gale ordered another, eventually getting half drunk and laughing at his own jokes.

Kayla just watched around them, sticking to the same glass the whole time. She watched as people danced and were drunk and talking, unaware that a life changing event for both her and Gale had just occured less than 48 hours ago. She looked at everyone, smiling and laughing and having a good time while she was still stitching the new wound in her heart

Gale slammed his 14th glass onto the bar, about knocking it over.
