Morgan rolled her eyes slightly, clearly amused as she stood up to peer over his shoulder as she cooked. It already smelt good, and soon enough their meal was on the table. "You tell me more than enough," she mused gently. "And like I said, I love you too. I'm never going to forget that," she laughed. She settled down next to him on the bar though, eating happily, a happy sound escaping her as she ate. It was good... very good. She always seemed to be learning new things about him, and she couldn't help but love it.

"You like it?" He asked before taking another bite. He chuckled at her smile and happy sound. He finished rather quickly, took care of his dishes and hers when she was done, and went back upstairs

Morgan nodded eagerly, clearly happy with the meal. She helped him clear up, and wandered upstairs just after him, eventually going to grab a shirt of his and slipping out of her own clothes, then into the shirt to sleep in. She flopped onto the bed with a bit of a sigh.
(could be interesting to have his parents come over while they're sleeping?)

Caleb chuckled and laid beside her, spooning her gently. "I love you" He whispered softly in her ear as he began to drift off.

Caleb woke around 2am to the sound of the front door unlocking. His heart sped and hoped he was dreaming still, but as he heard a pair of familiar footsteps enter the home, he got up softly as to not wake Morgan. Yet. He put on a hoodie and grabbed a pocketknife from his bedside table before kissing Morgan's cheek and heading silently downstairs

Morgan smiled softly at his comment, although when she felt his arms wrapping around her she settled down, soon drifting off to sleep comfortably. She really did love him... more than he'd ever know. Well, he would know if he read her mind, but he'd promised he wouldn't do that, even if she didn't overly care anymore. It was just... scary when she thought about it.

Morgan slept comfortably through the night, only really waking when she felt Caleb slip away from her, taking his warmth with him. She woke up slowly, rubbing her eyes as she went to sit up, leaning heavily against he headboard as she tried to figure out what was going on.

Caleb listened to the two adults downstairs. "Where is he?" The woman growled. "I don't know, Sam. Most likely upstairs." The man said calmly, half drunk at the same time. "He's leaving now. I'll rip him to shreds if I find him." The woman said, her voice raising with anger. Caleb could tell they had both most likely come back from the bar or drinks on the plane. He sighed and kept his hand in the same pocket his knife was in as he revealed himself. He knew either way would be bloody and painful, but this way Morgan would be safer. He hoped. "You." The woman slurred drunkily, "What have you done?" Caleb didn't let any emotion-fear or anger-show on his face as he kept his distance and the woman closed it. "I don't have any idea what you're talking about." Caleb said firmly but respectfully. In reality, his anger and fear for Morgan were at nearly scary levels as he watched the man reach into his pocket for his own knife and hand it to his wife. She flicked it open, pointing it menacingly at Caleb. "What did you do?!" The woman roared in Caleb's face. "Nothing." Caleb said, not meeting her dagger-like eyes. "Bullshit you piece of fucking scrap!" She yelled, her husband passing out on te couch like it was just another evening dinner table talk. Caleb pulled out his own knife as hers jabbed into his arm, making fresh blood trickle down his forearm. He yelled in pain as she dragged it down his skin and he twisted to retaliate.

Morgan sat up in bed quietly, admittedly rather confused as to what was happening downstairs... she could hear shouting, although, when when she heard Caleb yell panic ran through her. She was still half asleep and quickly waking up, slowly clocking what exactly was happening. His parents must be home... and god, it sounded awful. She wanted nothing more than to go down their and help him... she'd promised not to, and that she'd leave and he'd make it back to hers but... she couldn't leave him. Not when he sounded like he was in pain and they were screaming at him. She slowly and incredibly quietly got out of bed, grabbing a rather large book that was on his side table, and quietly walked down the stairs. She peeked through a door silently, trying to understand what was happening, when she saw hot red blood dripping from Caleb, all logic went out the window and she walked over to a small passage that would put her in the same room, but rather behind the woman rather than right infront of her. She didn't know what she was planning... but god all she wanted to do was help him, in any way she could.

Caleb looked up and saw Morgan, his eyes pleading her to leave so she wouldn't suffer. Go. He mouthed, his eyes searching hers until he broke free of his mother's grasp and twisted to the side out of her reach. He swept the knife and sliced her arm, the woman's knife catching his back and creating a pretty deep gash along his back

Morgan stood in the corner, trying to stay out a view. She couldn't go if she wanted to... his mother was in the way, and she didn't think she could get past. His father, though, was passed out on the couch... so she could try and get past him there. But, god, she couldn't leave him. He was bleeding... his own mother was attacking him, with a knife. She didn't understand it, she didn't know what to do. She sighed softly, though, knowing that if she did anything she'd do would make it all worse for him. She didn't have her car, so snuck around to the drawer of keys and grabbed his car keys for car he ran around to school, and snuck out through the bathroom window, just found to sit in the car with tears in her eyes. She wanted to scream for him, shout and protect him, just like she promised she would. But, it would make it worse. The second he came out of that house, she'd be taking him to the doctors, hoping desperately she could protect him afterwards.

Caleb could barely breathe, but he knew this was just the beginning. After nearly an hour of being screamed at and painted with his own blood, Caleb bolted for the door and saw Morgan sitting in the car. He was beyond greatful she hadn't left him even when he'd told her to. He got into the passenger seat, still only barely able to breath and talk. He clutched his right bicep, blood pouring out like a faucet.
