"Yeah, well, I know that." She said sarcastically, standing up. "Of course Rex can come. If I let you into my home, Rex is nothing bad at all. Binx will love him." Mercy smiled, walking over to Ajax, offering both her hands to attempt to help him up.

Ajax raised a brow. "But will Rex love Binx?" He asked in a teasing tone, then eyes her hands as if it was a very hard decision whether to accept help or not. Eh, it wasn't going to kill him to get up on his own. Then again... he was trying to be nice... Ajax summoned up all his willpower and took her hands, letting her help him to pull him up. -If it REALLY takes two people to haul my heavy ass off the grund we have a problem- Ajax thought with a snort. Now, gathering even more power and forgetting everything he had ever been taught... "Thanks." He forced out with a smile

Mercy smiled. "I think theyll be the best of friends." She teased, watching the cogs whir in his mind as he debated acceptong her help. She gave him a pleasantly surprised smile as he let her help him up. She blinked in shock as she also got a 'Thanks'. She gently pulled one of her hands away from him and held it to his forehead. "Are you sick? Did you just- say thanks? I need to get you to an emergency room." She said sarcastically.

Ajax used a LOT of self control not to glare at Mercy... or huff. "I might be. Or... I may be just trying to make a friend happy. The latter sems pretty impossible, but it could still happen." He answered, keeping a deadly tone OUT of his voice. Ajax let out a short whistle and Rex came right up to his side. "Welp, guess we are going.. inside." He stopped himself from adding an *again* instead just walking inside. Rex followed him closely, padding along quite quietly for a dog of his size. Rex's head was past Ajax's waist, and Ajax... wasn't a small man. He walked back to Mercy's apartement and held the door open for her, gesturing inside with a smile. Aaaand not letting it show in his eyes he was hating every second of this.

"Wow, you are really dedicated to this challenge, huh? For a whole two minutes, at least." Mercy teased, pulling her hand back and leading him up to her room. She rested a hand on Rex's back as they moved, fluffing his fur slightly. She raised her eyebrows as he held the door open for her. "Alright; that might be a little too far, gentleman." She teased, stepping into her room. Binx hopped onto the counter to investigate the new arrival. Almost immiediately when he saw the dog, he leapt to the floor and trotted up to the ginormous creature. He sniffed at Rex's paws, stretching his neck up to try and sniff noses... which wasn't happening. He ended up sitting back on his haunches and 'standing up' to try and observe Rex better, reaching out to sniff his nose.

Ajax stifled a sigh, closing his eyes a moment. "You gave me a job, I will complete it. Sorry if holding the door open was too much." He answered pleasantly, following Mercy in and shutting the door. Rex stopped and looked entirely appauled when Binx walked up, staring at the cat like that little creature was an alien. He finally let out a very loud bark that echoed through the house, then flopped down on his side and pawed at Binx with a paw as big as a wolf's paw.

Mercy rolled her eyes and walked promptly over to her kitchen counter, leaping up to sit on it. "So, what would you like to do with the rest of your day, sir?" She asked teasingly, watching as Binx dodged the huge paw. After, Binx walked up to Rexs face, which was almost as large as his body, and bent down to sniff it carefully. After this examination, he leapt on the big dog's side, curling up there and looking at Ajax.

Ajax tried not to look like this was torturing him. "What did we say again, 10 minutes? Or... the whole day? I can't remember." He asked in a slightly weak voice. Gah, this was draining all his willpower. And his will to live, quite honestly. Rex looked shocked as the cat dodged his paw. How coould that happen? He bended his head back and glanced at the cat, giving Binx a lick.

"10 minutes, you miserable little bug. But go ahead, you can give up. I can tell you're in immense pain right now." Mercy huffed, looking out the window on the opposite side of the room. Binx blinked in utter shock as he received a very wet dog kiss on the head. He shook his fur out after and looked absolutely bewildered for a moment. After, he simply started grooming the big dog's fur.

Ajax let out a giant sigh, relaxing and leaning up against the wall with a bright smile. "Oh I am so glad! But don't you see, it is possible for me to be nice ... for at least 7 minutes!" He exclaimed cheerily. Rex let his tongue loll out and panted a little, obviously enjoying being groomed by the small animal.
