Gale was deep in a hunt, about to take down a massive stag when he heard her call. He ran back over, running out of the brush. "I'm here,"

She was shaking and crying uncontrollably, thinking her world had just shattered even more

"Kayla," He murmured, squatting beside her and placing a hand on her shoulder.

She looked at him, wrapping her arms around him. "I thought you left..." She admitted in a breath

"I'd never," Gale assured, pecking her temple.

She nodded, calming down in his presence

Gale hadn't said much besides that, his mind having put him into shut down and it seemed he wasn't opening back up.

She looked at him, cupping his face gently. "Can I come hunt...with you?"

Gale nodded, mind else where. He stood, beckoning for her to follow as he started making way into the brush. The scratch of sticks against him was familiar, reminding him of the times when he'd gone and hunted with his younger brother Gabriel.
