Elijah pet Kingston's head, takign the rings from his collar. He then smiled as he saw Dakota. His eyes were drawn to her the whole time. He didn't look at anything else. "You're beautiful" he says as she got close enough. He strokes her hand gently.

"You're handsome." She said in response, squeezing his hand.

The officiant steps up and begins to speak:

“Hello and welcome! Elijah & Dakota, welcome to your wedding! I am thrilled for the life that you are creating together and for your marriage which begins right now. You have discovered each other, made the conscious decision of commitment, and today you step over the threshold into the first day of the rest of your officially-declared shared life.

Not only that, you are accompanied by witnesses of the best kind. To our guests (speaks to guests): You are the dear and important people in Elijah & Dakota's lives, assembled from near and far to celebrate their union. You are the ones who know them well, and you are an integral part of this ceremony, for the witnesses of a ceremony are just as important to the ceremony as the participants themselves. We feel your love and caring which fills our ceremony with meaning, and is the same love and caring that will create a web of ongoing support for these two throughout their marriage. In this way, you make this ceremony more than just a moment in time between two people, you make this a community milestone event to be remembered for years to come.”

The officent then turns to Dakota and Elijah. "So you two, we are at the heart of your ceremony, the part of your wedding day where everything shifts. On one level, you’ll walk away from this ceremony and nothing will have changed – still the same deep love, still the same commitment, still the same life you’ve been so beautifully building together. And, on another level, something will be profoundly different – rather than just a couple in love, you will be legally married and you will have made official vows and promises to one another, with witnesses, in sacred trust. Please hold hands to give your consent and vows in marriage.”

“From the moment you first met each other… to the moment when you knew your love was the real thing… to the moment when you decided to make it official… these are the moments that have led you to this moment where it is time to give your consent in marriage. Elijah, we’ll start with you:
Elijah, do you take Dakota to be your wife, your best friend and love for life?"

Elijah replies with no hesitation. "I do"

The officient speaks again, this time adressing Dakota:

"Dakota, do you take Elijah to be your husband, your best friend and love for life?"

"I do." She says, slightly tearing up before quickly wiping it away from under her eyelash.

They exchange vows, with Elijah starting first: "

Dakota, I promise to be your husband.

From this day forward,

I promise to share my life with yours…

to love you,

to laugh with you,

and to build our dreams together

while allowing you to grow your dreams.

I promise to support you through times of trouble,

rejoice with you in times of happiness

and to have faith in our journey.

I promise to give you all the love I can give

my whole life long"

"Elijah. I promise to be your wife." She said, tearing up again and using the same vows her mother had used from her irish heritage.

"From the moment I met you, my life changed in ways I never imagined. You're my best friend, my confidant, and my love. Today, I stand here before our family and frinds, overwhelmed with gratitude and joy to be able to call you my partner for life.

I vow to support you, encourage you, and to stand by your side through all the triumphs and and challenges our life may bring. I promise to laugh with you in times of happiness, and to comfort you in times of sorrow. I will cherish every moment we have together, from the quiet everyday things to the extraordianry adventures.

Your love has taught me what is means to be truly vulnurable, to open my heart and let someone in so completely. You see me for who I am, and you love me not despite my flaws, but because of them. I promise to always strive to be the best version of myself, not just for me, but for you and for us."

The officient takes the rings and gives it to each of them. Elijah takes the ring, and slips it onto Dakota's finger. After Dakota does the same, the officient speaks again. "Your ring exchange is complete, you have made your promises for your married life, you have given your consent in marriage. With the witness of your friends and family, and the blessing of love that connects us all, you are now joined together in this most sacred commitment of marriage. May the two of you be blessed with a lifetime of health, wealth, love, success and happiness. May you continue to support one another in the wonderful way that you already do, may your love and connection grow exponentially over the years, and may your life together flourish as you walk the journey of it - hand in hand.

You may kiss the bride!"

Elijah took no time to gently grab the back of Dakota's head, pressing his lips to hers in a gentle but passionate manner.

Dakota kissed him back gently, only half aware of the now standing groups who were clapping. She pulled away with a smile before taking his hand and following him back down the aisle

Elijah was so deep in the kiss, the officient had to clear his throat four times and clap to eventually get him to pull back, although reluctantly. The officiant spoke again, "I now present to you Mr and Ms. Montgomery!"
