Malcolm chuckled a bit at Camron's reply. "Oh come on now. It's not that hard to find something I like," he says, "and if you don't know you just have to ask one of the maids or someone in the market." He then thinks for a moment before moving his farthest pawn forward.

["But asking someone feels like cheating." He moved a bishop a bit. "According to fairytales, you royals like expensive things." He watched the board for a second before turning his attention to his hands as he picked at his nails slightly.]

(Things are getting a little better so I'm going to try to reply more. Things are still a bit of a train wreck so I'll probably be slow but I'll hopefully still be able to respond more frequently instead of in a weird misshapen pattern. But yeah, it's not as much of a dumpster fire-)

"Well I guess it kind of would be cheating," Malcolm answers as he moves a pawn forward before realizing he made the mistake, as he now saw that it could get taken out by one of Camron's pawns. "And the fairy tales are sort of correct as we do like expensive things," he explains, "but I don't mind cheaper gifts that just look expensive. Such as a painting of a landscape or a sculpture."

[He watched the move before looking up to Malcolm with a questioning look. He looked down before moving his pawn to take Malcolm's pawn. "Now that's just sad, reminds me of all those people who try to show off their expensive diamonds when they were just cheap plastic or lab grown and less expensive than they say." He picked at his nails a little, "I'll find something."]

Mal nods at Camron's comment and stares at the board for a while, trying to figure out what he could do. He finally just decides on moving the farthest pawn on his left side of the board forward, which was kind of hard because of his cast and sling. "I'm sure you will find something," Malcolm says as he waits for Camron to move, "and I'll try to find you something as well."

[He watched the move before moving a random pawn forward a space. "So unfair, it's extremely easy to find cheap things I like." He jokingly rolled his eyes before looking back at the board, "My sisters just learned to walk into any bookstore and grab the nearest book if they couldn't decide on something to get me."]

"I never really had expensive things, when I was younger my parents made plenty of money but poured it into our home and necessities, most stuff we owned was on the cheaper side." He continued to pick his nails. "So basically I don't own anything that expensive." He ripped a bit of nail off.]

(it was very cold here too, I also didn't do anything for Halloween due to medical issues, I wish I could of trick or treated and given snarky glances to anyone who thought I was too old to be trick or treating lol, unfortunately I have medical issues in my feet so it would of been painful, I do hope you enjoyed your Halloween though. Also thanks, it was apparently just another award for bravery stud since i impulse bought a horse at one point and he keeps accidentally getting me awards- either way I still stayed up till 11:30 and was almost late to school the next day so that was lovely-)

(Yeah it was trying to snow here for Halloween, kept coming in going but it was very small snowflakes. I didn't go trick or treating this year because I had a long assignment to get done for one of my classes. Also it's funny how that horse keeps winning you stuff XD )

["Im quite content with actual cheap things." He moved a random pawn forward. "You really don't have to spend money on me." He sighed as he picked his nails a bit more.]

(I wish I could of trick or treated but yeah- it's sad I couldn't. And yeah it is interesting he keeps winning awards, I bought him because I liked chimeras and I bred him a bit Al's all do a sudden he is placed 42 every year for top elite studs)
