Mari was almost back to sleep when the boy flopped down next to her. She murmured something inaudible before sighing and reaching over to pull the blanket from him in a slightly playful manner and wrapped it around herself as she warmed up a bit more... she was still half asleep really, so there wasn't really any reason for her to try and be playful the way she was. Oh well. She turned over and rested her forehead against his back lightly before throwing the blanket back over him and then hugged onto her pillow as she drifted back off to sleep.

Sage let out a tiny whine when the girl stole the blanket from him, though he was too groggy to do much more than flap his arm at the girl with a groan. He settled back down though when she turned around and cuddled in. He let out another whine, though this one was much happier, and curled into the girl a bit more before falling back asleep. The doctor poked his head in to check on the two friends, and smiled when he saw them before placing another blanket over the two of them gently before walking out again. He could make breakfast, he'd let them sleep.

She gave a soft type of hum in response to the boys tired whines, kind of communicating in a way that neither of them really quite understood. Mari found herself drifting into a slightly deeper sleep when the old man chucked a blanket over her... she had about three now, and she'd curled herself into the boys back so she was definitely comfortable. He was warm, and despite his slight shaking when there was a louder noise, he was comforting to some extent, even though she knew she was meant to be the one comforting him. He smelled good too, which she was honestly a little surprised by. Everything was just... cozy, so she found that sleep came pretty easily too her.

Sage woke up briefly later on, when the sun was high in the sky. But he was comfortable, and he didn't really feel like moving. The sleeping meds he'd taken had worn off, but everything was so cozy he sort of just snuggled in deeper and yawned slightly, shifting into a more comfortable position. He realized he'd curled up with the girl, and she'd ended up with an arm wrapped around his waist, much like Anya used to do. The realization brought a light blush to his face, but he certainly didn't mind...this was nice.

Mari slept for another half an hour or so before feeling the boy beside her shift a little as he started to wake up. She subconsciously held onto him a little tighter, but her half-kind hug loosened off after a little while when she started to wake up a little more. She soon realised what she was doing, and a blush pretty much covered her cheeks, but she didn't have any intention to move.... she was so comfortable. And if Sage wasn't happy, he would have moved himself. So rather than moving away, she pulled the blankets up a little bit more and curled into him even more, her nose just peeking over his shoulder as she murmured another quiet good morning.

Sage felt the girl shift after a while, and when she hretted him, he murmured a kind of sleepily morning to the girl. The way the sun filtered into the room combined with their cozy situation made him comfortable and sleepy, even if he'd gotten a nice long sleep through the night. He yawned slightly, stretching his arms and legs a bit before curling back up against the girl. "What time is it," he half groaned. "Cause I'm not getting up unless one of the horses is dying," he hummed. The horses were all fine ...so unless something drastic and surprising happened, he was staying in bed. The day before had admittedly worn him down, and he was enjoying the rest. Plus, it was nice to cuddle up with someone like this again. Mari was sweet, and nice, and he certainly didn't mind this.

The girl chuckled softly and wrapped her arm around him a little tighter when she heard him quietly speak up. "I don't know," she murmured, her voice slightly muffled by his back... she could have just turned her head to look at the clock, but she was comfortable so didn't really want to turn her head to disrupt that. She groaned slightly and stretched ever so slightly and slowly blinked her eyes open, though didn't move other than that. "Have you had your meds?" She asked quietly as she went to close her eyes again. "And I need to make everyone breakfast..." she trailed off, knowing that the doctor wouldn't have let his patients starve... hopefully he would have already fed them. She could stay here for a little while... Sage was was so kind, and if he was happy then she didn't want to move.

Sage just sort of hummed in response to the girl's response, not really caring what time it was...he wasn't moving. "Yeah, a while back before I came over here," he hummed, a yawn breaking his words partway through. He shrugged slightly at her next comment. "The doctor probably took care of it," he hummed. "He managed before you and he can manage today." He didn't want to move ...and he didn't want the girl to move either. He had to admit, it was really nice to be able to curl up like this with someone again. He'd missed it more than he'd thought. He'd missed a lot of things, that he hadn't thought about in....well, years really. But especially things like this. He was glad Mari was here, and willing.

The girl hummed a type of weary chuckle before giving a bit of a weary yawn. "Why did you come over?" She asked in a slightly amused voice. "Not that I'm complaining or anything," she hummed with a bit of a laugh, snuggling into his back a little bit more. "I quite like this," she told him with a soft sigh and gave him a bit of a relaxed sigh. She didn't have any intention of leaving anytime soon... even if she he things to do that morning. She never slept very well on usual occasions, so in the middle of a storm, she welcomed the comfort.

Sage yawned and then chuckled slightly at the girl's question, responding with a shrug. "Dunno. Seemed cozier than over there I guess," he hummed eventually. "whatever the reason I'm glad I did it," he giggled. "It's quite the comfortable position." He was going to stay here for as long as he could...and it seemed like the girl would too. It wasn't like they had much else to do, and if the doctor needed them then he would get them. That all meant they could stay like this for as long as they wanted. It was odd, a bit....he was never able to think like that with Anya. It was always we need to go or we don't have long. It was nice to be able to just....be.
