She eventually calmed down and fell back asleep against his chest

Once she was asleep, he finally let the dam holding back his emotions break. He cried silently, still holding Emma, not just for her own comfort, but for his as well. He cried until he was too tired to cry anymore, and he let himself drift into sleep.

Emma slept well the rest of the night, waking around 5:30 the next morning. She sighed and got up, going to make breakfast. She looked over her shoulder at Ben and a small, soft smile came to her face at the sight of him. She turned, striding to the kitchen and beginning to cook

(Uhhhhm got any plot ideas?) . Ben woke up just after Emma, stumbled into his room, changed into fresh clothes, and combed his hair. He came into the kitchen and helped Emma finish making breakfast.

None...) "Good morning." She said, kissing his cheek. "How'd you sleep?"

(Same lol) . "Pretty well!" He paused, then chuckled. "Actually I really didn't. It wasn't the best night ever," he admitted. Ben took a plate of food and said, "Alright, I'd better not be late for those interviews. See you by lunch," He kissed her forehead and headed out the door, food in hand.

She nodded and watched him go, getting a plate and eating ehr portion. She put away leftovers and did dishes

Ben interviewed one guy and two girls. All were eager to work and seemed friendly enough, but he was worried about trusting horses to them. He finished around 1:15, and headed up to the house, exhausted and not in a great mood.

Emma found him right as he walked the door, hugging him tight. "Do you want anything to eat?" She asked, tipping her head back with a soft smile to look at him

He gave her a tired smile. "Anything's great," he said, hugging her back. He sat down at the table heavily, trying not to think through what to do about the ranch.
