Gale nodded when she asked, taking her hand and starting to make his way back inside. "Yes, your quarters?" He asked, exhaustion deliberitly taking over his system as he made his way through the crowd of nobles and council members, all snooty and dressed in fine robes and such. His scratched silver armor reflected some of the lights, making him stick out a smidge more though the sword at his hip made people move out of his way. Eventually the two finally made it into a hallway, the place being nice and quiet for once. "Finally... some peace and quiet." Gale murmured, chuckling lightly.

Selene nodded with a soft groan of relief, more than happy with the idea of them being alone, in her chambers doing as they pleased and getting the sleep they both obviously needed. Her thumb rubbed across his knuckles slightly as she allowed him to take the lead and get the people to move for them. She giggled softly at his words, pleased by the notion that they'd no longer have to worry about anyone else. "Mmh, and we can have said peace and quiet for as long as you please, whether we hide inside my quarters or simply avoid the general population all day. I'm just happy to be with you," she murmured, traveling the halls in a mindless manner, her body knowing exactly where to go. They reached her chambers within a matter of minutes, the guards outside of her door exchanging a look before silently opening the heavy wooden doors for the pair. Her collection of little rooms was neatly kept, save for the occasional half-read book lying on every other surface. Her large bed was still there just as she had left it as well, calling her name quietly. "Make yourself comfortable. My room is your room," she told him, smiling faintly as she let go of his hand.

He chuckled when she said her room was his room, the man shaking his head lightly. "Oh trust me, I know." Gale mused, unbuckling his armor and tossing it in a pile on the floor, leaving only his tunic and pants left, the man hopping up onto her bed and sinking into it. The smell threw him off though, for it smelt exactly like her. "Man this is great, super comfy and it smells like you, good combo." He mused, a yawn interupting him as he settled where he was. The man was clean, having just bathed the previous night once he got back and found some clean clothes, changing into them.

Selene smiled and shook her head, having figured that Gale would know to take full advantage of whatever was considered hers if he wanted to. She never denied him before and she didn't intend to now. She undressed down to her undergown, still completely covered with a little more freedom to move around since the garment was looser. "Well I'm glad that you approve," she teased, climbing onto the bed with him, groaning softly as her body sunk into the mattress. Being in bed had never felt better now that there was a familiar weight beside her. "Now this..." she yawned, laying on her side to face him, "This is near perfection." She couldn't have asked for a better person to nap and spend her time with.

He chuckled, smacking his pillow to try and fluff it before laying back on it. "You got the best bed out of most of them here," Gale mused, arm lacing around her waist. "Now c'mere, not like i'm gonna get much sleep without you anyways." The man chirped, pulling her closer before his eyes closed on their own and he started attempting to drift off.

Selene laughed, letting him pull her as close as he wanted before snuggling down and getting comfortable. "Trust me, the feeling is mutual," she mumbled as she tucked her head against his chest, her legs tangling up with his. She had never been so comfortable in her own bed, and she had never drifted off to sleep as fast as she did right then. Even better? It was the most dreamless, peaceful sleep that she had ever managed to get. It was official- she wouldn't be sleeping without Gale in her bed ever again.

Gale slept peacefully, no memories of battle grounds interupting him. The man awoke, confused where he was and why he wasn't fighting before seeing Selene and smiling softly, slipping his eyes back shut as he drifted back off. (soz so short, nothing to write lol)

(it's all good!) Selene slept for longer than she had in ages before finally waking what was only a few hours later. Sleeplessness still had a habit of finding her, even when she knew she and the person she cared for the most were safe. She shifted carefully, not wanting to bother and wake Gale. She took the time to study his features, the scars on his face, and the way that he looked a little pouty in his sleep right then. She sighed softly, caressing his cheek in a feather light touch. "God, I've missed you.. I've longed for the moment I got to feel your touch again, my love," she whispered to herself, her heart happy yet aching all in the same. She still feared they'd never be the same together, but right then things were as close to perfect as they'd been in a long time.

Gale shifted slightly in his sleep as she caressed his cheek, muttering something incoherant. He stayed still for a while longer, his sleep so deep dreams weren't even there anymore. The man hadn't told her about to worst of his injuries, a slash from a stray sword along his left side. As he shifted, the fabric of his tunic caught slightly on it, creating and oddly angled piece as Gale's brows furrowed ever so slightly from the catch. His breath hitched slightly before evening back out to deep and steady.

Perhaps it had been wrong to touch and somewhat ogle the sleeping man, but Selene took full advantage of the opportunity, taking in the dips and curve of the muscle on his war-trained body. She just so happened to notice the way that his shirt caught, her brows furrowing as she glanced up to his sleeping face. Had he been hurt? She hadn't exactly gone over present injuries with him.. She was the most careful that she could be, her small, soft hand slipping beneath his tunic to free it from its snag before lifting the fabric away. Her breath hitched with concern as she saw the injury, her mind far from his perfect physique as she studied the scarring and wounds. "Gods... What did you go through?" She whispered, her eyes still drawn to that area.
