(thank you for your patience! Ive finally got a minute to write so here we go) Widow sighed as if he didn't know weather to say yes or no. It was very possible that the outlanders could be in those mountains, but he wasn't just worried about that group colts from his old herd had left to go to those mountains and they weren't the most respectful bunch especially not to mares and a pretty filly their age like Amira...that's a recipe -written in bold and underlined- for disaster. "Maybe I'm just being paranoid, no need to worry yourself" he responded pricking his hears and nipping at her cheek to lighten the mood. With a playful grunt he hopped into the air and cantered away the tall grass whipping his white legs and staining them green. The studs two toned mane whipped in the wind as he turned sharply facing her without stopping performing a move that was like a half canter pierrot

(No worries! We have lives and shit to worry about, so that's why it doesn't matter how long responses take, because irl stuff matters more, aaaaand occasional hee stuff like re doing you barn or something...) She looked at Widow, studying his expression as he thought of how to answer. One ear perked forward and the other peering back, she took another bite of grass then looked at Widow when he spoke again, his words made her want to worry... Or ask why he said it like that, but it was also nice that he was trying to comfort her. So she just nodded "Ok, I won't. I'm sure these aren't the right mountains anyway" She said enthusiastically getting up, she jerked her head when he nipped her cheek and ran, preparing to chase after him she took too long, he had spun around in the canter, Amira's face lit up "Whoa! That was so cool! How did you do that?" She asked trotting up to the young stallion Edited at November 2, 2025 04:10 PM by Hyrule_Stables

Widow shrugged swishing his tail "I've ran through the woods dodging trees during my apprenticeship with ghost enough that I'm just talented " He joked prancing forward with his neck arched as he circled the mare nipping her every once in a while just to mess with her. He snorted as if just making a realization "hah! Remember when I call you your majesty" He nipped her cheek again "your name is Arabic it means princess" The pealy buckskin stopped and did a small rear using both front legs to playfully strike the air. The sunset cast a beautiful shadow on the stallions flashy coat as he landed and shuck his head whipping his long mane around.

(Oh haha you remembered what Amira's name meant XD) She snorted a laugh at the stallion's response "Wow you have talent? As if I didn't know THAT by now" She said grinning hard, she eyed him when he started circling her, bouncing a few centimetres away every time he nipped, and she started nipping back. She smirked and lifted her head when he said the word Your Majesty again "Mhm that's right respect the queen!" She roared playfully, but when Widow got into detail on her name meaning Princess in Arabic she paused, remembering Sora telling her that, she suddenly got really nervous "I-.. Umm.." She shook her head -What the hell is wrong with my english!?- The Tobiano mare thought to herself, she watched Widow pull a small rear, the way the sunsets light hit his light painted coat made it look even more unique and gorgeous, she went to pull a rear too, but she couldn't stop staring at his coat... Or him, so instead she turned away trying not to get flustered, she flicked him in the face with her tail then trotted off legs lifting high "My bad, I mean respect the Princess!" She laughed

As the days warmed up and a week or so passed widow grew anxious. He was preparing both himself and Amira for the rough journey over the mountains. The young stallion rose from his sleep stress creeping in at the corners of his mind. He pushed it back and walked to the river dipping his muzzle into the cool water. When he was done drinking he trotted over to the sleeping figure in the grass. With a snort of amusement at her dead to the world state. Dropping his head he nuzzled her gently trying to wake her "Amira, Amiraaa it's time to get up luv" he continued to poke her with his nose until she got annoyed and opened her eyes to look at him

(Awwwww lolz) Over the next few days Amira spent her time with Widow, Drinking and eating to prepare for the harsh cold journey over the mountains, she made sure to soak up all the sun she could over the past week and enjoy it before they went back into a winter climate. Amira slept quietly and sound, not moving except for the breathing, and it seemed not even a passing deer could pull her out of whatever she was dreaming about. But, she shuffled slightly at the first few pokes of a soft muzzle, and moaned lightly as if begging to be left alone for five more minutes, but then a smooth voice seeped into her ears into her mind, and the constant nuzzling pokes finally brought her back to the real world, she snorted at a butterfly that was near her head and groggily looked up at the Creme paint stallion, the sun hitting his coat very nicely making him look... Different, She snorted again "Ok ok I'm up" She mumbled struggling to get up but she got there in the end, she shook off her body and flicked her mane to the other side, she looked at the water "Give me a minute please" She asked Widow, then quickly walking over she took a quick drink then snatched up some final bites of grass before returning to the stallion, he seemed to gleam at the moment.. Like usual, she nodded "Ok, I'm ready to move when you are sir" She said with a hop in her voice. As she started walking she looked at the mountains ahead, a small fear of those stallions coming into her head but she shook it off and smiled, glancing at Widow every now and again Edited at November 4, 2025 11:53 AM by Hyrule_Stables

(cutie!) Widow snorted a laugh as the mare woke up. When she was done drinking and grabbing a little to eat he laughed again at her calling him sir. "Right on! We will probably get to the base of the mountains before sunset I want to keep moving through the dark until we find a empty cave to sleep in. Don't walk under trees would rather you not get snatched by a mountain lion" he tossed his mane before moving out into a long trot before the mare could ask him many questions. It wasn't all to strange for him, traveling away and through herds. His heard had kicked him out as barely a weanling and he had survived this long. Widow tipped his head backwards to look at the confused Amira "if you don't hurry up a coyote will make a nice snack out of your ankles!" The stallion called teasingly, but it did seem to put even more of a pep in her step. Edited at November 5, 2025 08:51 AM by ghost light stables
