Can I whine about this one for a moment? |
04:01:29 Angel Cats🐈 I am also hoping that, for you, Iris |
04:01:21 Kelan/Rain LOL well if that's all then I guarantee if he's not happy with an apology email he's not worth worrying about. Professors have to deal with arrogant students and staff and parents ALL the time |
04:00:35 whisper/lynx iris i pray it gets better soon <3 |
04:00:05 Void Malign ...Speaking of work e-mails, there's several I'm straight up ignoring right now lol |
03:59:51 Iris Like we talking i plastered "bitch" on my forehead for the rest of the semester |
03:59:24 Iris Rain im so not saying it just know i fucked up and it probably came off as REALLY arrogant |
03:58:42 Iris lynx this hits way harder though because I've pretty much been cooped up in my room for 4 years looking for an entry level job I can walk to without a car x-x I have no friends and this was the first conversation ive had in like 4 years |
03:58:32 Kelan/Rain Also on the him not getting back to you, as a working adult, sometimes emails just sit in my inbox, especially those that I think aren't super time pressed |
03:57:14 Kelan/Rain ... okay now I'm curious if he could take it personally what was the question you asked? |
03:56:45 🎀 Diva give it a day or two, he also might need a minute |
03:56:44 whisper/lynx iris everyone makes mistakes in life. everyone you know has definitely made many mistakes, probably maybe even like the one you made. you'll be fine, because here is everyone else, living life as if nothing happened |
03:56:32 Void Malign It's school, people are there to learn. Dumb questions are going to be asked and honestly, it's not something that needs or should be apologized over. |
03:56:00 Iris Diva I did but my worry is that in his comment he took what I said personally or something and I already did my apology email but he hasnt gotten back to me |
03:55:44 Kelan/Rain I mean, I don't know if it's an American university or if your curriculum is based off having good class participation, but believe me, you aren't the first student they've had ask a dumb question, and you won't be the last. I had my fair share of dumb questions when I was going through college |
03:55:00 Iris myth minecraft aint strong enough this gave me full body stinging tingles like when you think something big and heavy is gonna hit you tingles |
03:54:27 🎀 Diva i totally agree on it, you said something - its far worse you hide and whine about it. Own it instead and move forward, the best is always to pick up your phone or send an email and explain yourself, can avoid a lot of shit that way |
03:54:25 Angel Cats🐈 Try not to worry about it too much, please |

(Last post for me tonight but please continue! It's like 4am here cause we've been watching the US election lol) The smell of blood hangs in the air as I watch him carefully. I raise my head, the morning light catching the top of my hair, making it glow with golden hues, in defiance to his efforts at the thought of him draining me and suddenly I had a wave of confidence hit me that I wasn't going to die today. Not today, but maybe tomorrow. The thought of doubt pangs in my chest, as he notices the phone. I feel his hand on my shoulder and caress my collarbone, like a prized meal. The thought makes me sick to my core. Was I really going to let this vampire simply lead me away? No, but it was my only chance to escape. So I reluctantly agreed to follow him. I'll play your little game. I thought. Just until I get the answers I need. I part my lips, releasing the tension that hung thick in the air as I relaxed my body into his touch. I noticed the sunlight washing his brown hair into warm copper tones, his eyes sparkling blue. "Why don't you burn to a crisp? I'm pretty sure I read that somewhere?" I ask with a light curious tone to my voice. Was there such a thing to offend a vampire? She pulls in closer to study the dog tags that hung loose around his neck to try and catch any glimpse of information of where he'd come from or who he was. Rowan hummed momentarily as he felt her relax. Mistaking it as a sign she fell into his trap, his gaze flickered over to the corpse. His eyes narrowing. "Mind if i finish that real fast?" He asked, not really caring her response, he was going to feed one way or another, no matter if she liked it or not. Yet he stood still for a few more heartbeats. His index finger brushing against her pulse point as his other fingers felt the nearest artery momentarily before he slowly lifted his hand away. Nails just slightly grazing her neck before he put his hands behind his back. His gaze followed hers cautiously. "No, I don't burn immediately, I am susceptible to sun burns but I won't be disappearing for awhile," Rowan huffed as his gaze followed hers to his dog tags. "You aren't gonna find anything useful on that, just my callsign, company and other human things," He mused as he lifted the dog tags for a better view in a almost mocking manner. To him she smelled akin to a walking temptation of a meal. And he had to hold himself back from just sinking his teeth into her neck. Both out of revenge for hitting him and the hunger that was still lurking beneath the surface. (Sorry for another small response, my stuff may or may not get taken, I'm not sure)

(Oh no, are you ok?) I study him as he moves. His huge frame could overpower me if he wanted to. I look at the man on the floor once again. "Do I even have a choice to not let you finish him?" I huff, annoyance lacing my tone, I briefly consider that at least him feasting on the dead man, may just satisfy him enough to avoid me becoming the next thing on the menu. The sun is rising, I look down the street as he talks. Surely people must be waking up to start their busy day in the London rush hour of Monday morning. I instinctively recoil at his touch as I turn once more to look at him, as he then dangles the dog tags in my face. My hazel eyes boring into his. I keep note of all the information he presents me. "Won't your company or..." I begin to describe, confusion knitting my brows together "or whoever, won't they be looking for you?" I ask. I fidget and swirm on the spot, underneath his gaze. Maybe... if I keep questioning him long enough, someone will surely see. Edited at November 6, 2024 12:28 PM by Velaris Stud

Rowan was amused, his head tilting as his smile finally faded into a neutral expression. "Do you think you have a chance in not letting me enjoy the last morsels of that man?" Rowan hissed with a hint of malice before he forcefully relaxed himself. His skin already felt irritated from the rising suns rays of what he utterly thought was to bright for his liking. He sighed as he felt her eyes boring into his. His pupils shrank back to a normal size quite slowly. As if taking their time before allowing him to not be almost blinded by the sunlight. He closed his eyes momentarily, trying to clear what he had thought were somehow atoms he could see with his eyes as a mortal. Until the internet came out and he found out what Visual Snow Syndrome was. But he knew he couldn't clear the particles, he was silly for even trying. "No, no, no. You don't get it do you?" Rowans head tilted a little more as that grin grew back on his features, his voice giving off a hint of a laugh. "I'm taking you with me, silly," Rowan hummed. He intentionally left out the very important part that his teammates were human, or that they didn't know they worked with a vampire. It was all apart of his game. Letting things ride out how they would, see if things would go to plan without his manipulation, and if they didn't? It would be like usual, using his abilities were like second nature to him, anyway. So what was the difference? He took notice of her features, from the golden hues of her hair, to the high cheekbones of her face. He watched, amused as she instinctively pulled away, maybe she wasn't as resistant as he thought, it was a shame yet something had been whispering softly to him to be cautious the whole time, so finally he decided to listen. He dropped the dog tags back onto his chest. Tucking it neatly under his shirt, stepping around her he kept a bit of focus on his peripheral to make sure she didn't run off on him. For he didn't want to have to chase down the human if he didn't have to. He walked over to the corpse, crouching down he lifted the man by the collar of his blood stained shirt. He sank his fangs back into the man's neck. A small hum leaving his throat that was mixed with a almost guttural growl.

I watched him, his volatile attitude was starting to make my mind race once again, a slow dull ache twitching at my temple. I take notice of him closing his eyes, wondering if he too had a headache or something else was wrong. My eyes widened at the thought of me leaving with him. Were there more vampires where we were going? My blood turned cold. The sun casting long shadows across his face as he moves towards the body. I step back only slightly as he sank his teeth into the man's neck. My mind slowed as he began, turning my head at the sound of a car passing, creating a tense electrical energy hums in the air that starts to wrap around the both of them. Time starts to slow as the car passes... but then I hear a familair click. I whip around and a lady had stepped out with her pram, she had just stepped out of my apartment building and let the door close. She scanned the road until her eyes met with mine. All of a sudden time went back to normal with a sharp joult coursing through my body. "Evelyn?" she questions, squinting in the morning sunlight. I look back at the vampire hovering over the man as I start to panic, shaking my head not to come closer. She must of seen me still dressed in yesterday's clothes, I was normally preparing myself for going to work at the police station. She starts to cross the road, the pram clacking against the curb as it bounces gently on the road. The skin on the back of my neck turning electric as I start to breath faster, the adrenaline coarsing through my veins. Edited at November 7, 2024 07:30 AM by Velaris Stud

Rowan's head shot up at the noises in his blind spot. Pulling the man's limp form up with him as he continued drinking until the man was drained dry. His eyes scanned every little shadow warily. His body tensing with instinct the more his eyes scanned the shadows, a subtle hiss escaping his lips as he thought he saw a shadow move. With ease he peeled his teeth from the man's neck. slowly he stood back up and wiped the blood from his chin with his fingers. Quickly licking off the blood from his lips and fingers. His head slowly turned toward the woman again, his body following suit. He slowly stepped back toward her, Watching as a long stretch of shadow landed on her body. He forced back a hiss, staring at the shadow a little to long before he looked at her. "Shall we go?" He hummed. His gaze boring into the back of her head. A small frown falling across his features.

The woman with the pram, her gaze passes me towards the vampire. Her eyes widen at the sight and I know what is going to happen next. She slowly comes to a halt and opens her mouth to start to scream. Time slows once again as I ignore his question to leave. I stare at her in horror at what she has just witnessed. (Sorry it's a short one. I'll be back in a little while.) Edited at November 7, 2024 01:58 PM by Velaris Stud

Rowan sighed as he saw the new woman prepare to scream. On instinct his pupils dilated to the point of almost covering his icy blue irises, creating dark pools that rendered him near blind. A small growl escaped his lips as he took a step closer to the woman with the pram. He calmly took in a breath before speaking. "No, don't scream. You saw nothing," He crooned lowly, the sound almost melodic in nature as he took another step toward the new woman. His hands relaxed and placed themselves in his pockets. He made sure to use a little bit more of his abilities then usual. His head tilted to the side curiously. "What's your name? hm?" He hummed as he constantly watched the woman, ready to lunge if she didn't fall into his skillfully set trap before the scream started to escape from her lips. (Alr!)

As the vampire moves to intercept my neighbour with the pram, I instinctively reach out to almost touch him, when I hear him talk to her, remembering that he can wipe memory. The thoughts coming back from earlier that he would either kill or wipe someone's memory. I gape as I watch my neighbour relax her posture in front of me. "My name is..." the lady begins to say as I make contact. Against my better judgement, I pull the vampire to face me. I look at my nieghbour and growl at her "Leave", shocked and as if she had awoken from a daze, she scuttles on by with her pram, only looking back as she wanders in the direction of the police station. I return my attention to the vampire, suddenly acutely aware of just how close his body is to mine. I take a step back as I look at him, his eyes..."I think... I think you should get rid of that body and we should leave now" I said sharply. Knowing I had protected my neighbour is the best I could probably achieve today, even if I still had to leave with the vampire. Other people start to appear on the streets, cyclists, dog walkers, people moving to make their morning commute to work. Cars start to fill the streets as we move to step out of the road.

Rowan frowned. Staring down at the woman. He hesitated for a moment before nodding slowly. "Alright," He murmured though he almost sounded slightly giddy that she 'agreed willingly' As if she did, Rowan didn't quite see through the facade. His pupils naturally dilated momentarily before he started to turn towards the corpse. starting forward to grab it. He glanced behind him awkwardly once at the woman before he made it to the body and picked it up with barely a grunt of effort. He glanced at the people slowly crowding the streets. 'Shit' He thought to himself. If he could turn into a bat or turn invisible he would. But atlas he didn't have that kind of power, no vampire did.
