Aristotle had his neck shoved over the stall door to stare down the aisle at them, nickering in jealously. She pressed a light kiss to the bay's muzzle, looking over her shoulder at her horse. "Hush, you jealous thing." She scoffed, glancing over at Sam with a small smile. "Shame it's a part of your uniform." She said faintly, turning back to Zephyr lightly.

He tilted his head around Kate. "What a stalker." He said, lightly teasing. He leaned against the stall door for a moment, slipping in. "I don't know why anyong thought it was a good idea to stand out like a sore thumb." He brushed his hand through his coat, he was still clean amazingly. He grabbed his saddle, putting it over Zeph's back. He pulled off a leather piece from the saddle, that wasn't part of the saddle. He put it on, a strap around his chest and one connecting the shoulder pad on both front and back. The pad draped over both sides as had visible scratches on it. Then he continued to tack Zeph up.

"That is an accurate observation." She nodded, glancing back at Aristotle, who had begun to paw at his stall door. She rolled her eyes and continued to stroke the horse in front of her, chuckling slightly. "Maybe someone thought it would be a nice, elaborate joke. Make the english soldiers look so ridiculous they can't be taken seriously." She teased, glancing at the Lieutenant hesitantly. She gave Zephyr one last kiss before walking off to Aristotle's stall, offering the ornery stallion the other half of her carrot from earlier. He seemed appeased after some attention. She lightly opened the stall door and let Lucifer slip out, then closed it and continued to stroke Aristotle's face. Lucifer was over by Zephyr's stall as soon as he could be, sniffing around where Sam had been standing. Edited at October 26, 2023 07:39 PM by Widow Valley Farms

He snickered quietly. "I hope he was charged with treason or something." He could hear Lucifer sniffing by the door now. He pulled Zeph's big head in, grabbing his hackamore. It looked rather home-made, more comfortable looking than the Spanish horses he'd seen it on. He took off the halter and put the bridle on, opening the stall, he lead his horse out, shutting the door behind him. Sam checked the straps over again, he'd rather not fall off. The only perk he could think of for the red coats was that they provided more padding.

"I would too, that color is god awful." Kate chuckled, glancing over as Lucifer took care not to be stepped on by Zephyr, but intently sniffed Sam's boots, blinking up at him with warm brown eyes. "Going for a stroll?" She asked sarcastically, continuing to pet Aristotle.

He smiled a bit. "Black would be far more appealling." He suggested, he'd dropped the reins for a moment to check the other side, coming back for them. He held his hand down for the black dog, petting his head once granted approval. "Kinda. I have to grab something from town. Someone?- He's a little time sensitive..but I don't remember how to get there." He said, slightly embarrassed.

"Mm, but Black gets hot fast. I think maybe a... muted green." Kate shrugged, watching him interact with her dog. Lucifer was already stuck to his side, begging for attention. He promptly licked Sam's fingers at the first chance he got, tail wagging like a puppy. Kate raised her eyebrows. "Someone? That's not suspicious at all." She teased, listening intently. She chuckled as he finished. "Were you planning on wandering around until you found where you were headed?" She asked sarcastically.

"Or, or, hear me out. Ghillie suit." He smiled up at her, then back down at the precious dog. He squatted down, trusting his horse to be there with him. Who also sniffed the dog right beside him. "He's a pet, I left him in my hotel room cuz he's a little on the exotic side." He glared over at her. "Yes, I was. Or asking someone for help. I don't know." He half-ways admitted. Standing up.

"Mmmmm, tempting. But then no one could see your pretty face. And you'd also probably overheat." She teased playfully, tilting her head. "Maybe a navy blue suit. You'd at least march around in style." She chuckled, glancing at Aristotle and then back at the man a ways in front of her. Lucifer was having the time of his life, and ended up hopping up in an attempt to give very slobbery face kisses. "Oh? You do seem like the kind of man to keep a tiger in your hotel room." She said sarcastically, walking over to squat down across from him and pet her dog as he stood. She looked up at him with a cocked eyebrow. "Not many people around here help a man with an english accent. I could show you, if you want. Or you can go on your little redcoat adventure." She shrugged, going back to petting Lucifer, who was just as pleased to have Kate pet him.

"Why would I want anyone to see my pretty face?" He scoffed. "I dunno, anything but white and red at this point." He was fighting-ish back Lucifer so he wouldn't be coved in puppy kisses. "'Cause its a bird." He said, taking the reins again. He tilted his head. "I would rather have help, wandering isn't as when everyone hates you." He said, foot in the stirrup. He was on Zephyr's back pretty fast, fixing the reins. "Was that an offer?"
