He lowered his further back, more usually timed, he wasn't quite expecting the tardy aiming but that paid off for her. His also paid off because he got her in the shoulder also and sent splinters of lance showering around. He winced, leaning back, slightly stunned. He dropped the remnants of his lance and sat up, reining in Crow as they'd made it to the other side. He rolled his shoulder back. It'd be fine. He picked up his medium lance and readied himself for the flag drop again.

She shook her upper half to clear the small burst if pain. It would bruise, but she would be fine in the end. She decided on another light lance, picking it up and turning as the flag fell. She had Grimm take off full speed toward the other knight, Felix. She pulled her usual technique, managing to shatter her light lance into the center of his his stomach plate, a place where it would essentially be painless. His, however, glanced off her breastplate. Her only ploy for that round was points. She was going to knock him off at the end and hopefully get a nice, full tally. She turned Grimm as she reached the other end, yanking up a heavy weight lance.

Crow took off with his usual burst of speed, he lowered it at the same time as last time and wasn't really expecting to be hit again but he most certainly was.he couldn't even tell if he'd missed or or what. The wind was knocked out of him for sure. He was leaning back further this time but thank god- and his blacksmith- for the armor. He pulled himself up with the horn of the saddle. He took a deep breath and pulled himself together kind of well. He kept himself steady for a moment before he picked up another medium lance. Hoping to aim lower on his opponent, then he could unhorse him and regain his dignity or something.

The flag fell, and Grimm burst forward. They met around halfway, Kitty lowering hers the normal way. Somehow, her lance glanced off his, skewing off course and barreling into his nose. "Oh, shit-" She muttered, dropping her lance quickly as his glanced off hers. She hurried Grimm to the end of the row and then held her reins anxiously. ((Dont have him walk off, I want them to do good sportsmanship))

It was a little too late when he decided to dodge, throwing off his aim considering they were right on top of eachother. His lance was halfway out of his hands already when the lance rammed into his face. Heeee was seeing stars for a good while. Leaning backwards over the rear end of his horse, with Crow's gait he fell off. He held onto his helmet as though it was going to help, his mind was jumble. He did hear footsteps. He looked up, his eyes were kinda foggy and watering a little. Edited at August 2, 2023 01:50 AM by Prismatic Cove

She quickly trotted Grimm over, hopping down and holding her hand down to the fallen man. She desperately wanted to apologize to him, help him, replace his helmet. But instead, she stared down at him with her ice blue eyes, the only thing visible through her helmet slits, hoping they could speak for her.

He blinked hard and looked up at the hand offered to him. He winced, reaching up he grabbed the hand. He mostly used to help to keep his balance. He leaned over his knees for a moment but said loudly enough for Kaden to hear, "Thank you." In an english accent from behind his dented helmet. He stood up better, clearly taller than her but he was hunching over just a bit.

She gave him. Curt nod, interested by the accent. She paused, looking up at him. Everyone was taller than her, so this wasn't special. After trying to figure out how to sign language, she sinply spoke quietly to him. "Do you need help?" She asked, not bothering to obscure her voice. Even if he understood her, she doubted anyone would believe him.

He looked down at her, blanking for a moment as she spoke. He couldn't hear well enough to notice more than the words she said. He shook his head slightly, but reached under his helmet slightly, then pulled it out. It appeared there was quite a bit of blood. He squinted. "I'll be fine."

She tilted her head at him skeptically, refusing to speak any more. She started walking easily to the other side of the arena side by side with him to a rather loud applause from the crowd.
