Just then, one of the older wolves popped out from behind and made a motion for the king to follow. 'This place looked like a bunch of beggars,' she noted. Everyone around was about as fat as those people who claim to be homeless only to get extra food. I mean, the lightseekers do give them food, but thats because they are very nice.

Frenicks smiled kindly at the wolfess as he waddled to talk with the older wolf.

"If she really is the princess," the old wolf told the king as he led him away, "she is your assigned mate."

Frenicks sighed. "If that is the case, Elder Boresti, then I must treat her as beloved as she deserves to be." Frenicks vowed.

The she-wolf looked around, stunned that this was what a darkseeker pack looked like. It was so different from what she was told. All that she had ever been told, was that it was a complete mess, which wasn't a lie compared to the light seeker's palace. It was also supposed to be full of fighting wolves, but all the wolves ended up being too lazy to fight with one another, except a few, which broke out into a fight for no reason.

Or at least, that's what it looked like on the surface. In reality, the fight Aspen was bearing witness to was between a few juveniles, and it served a purpose. A juvenile wolfess with a beautiful almond brown husky pelt, was watching the fight eagerly, wanting to see which of the males would come out on top. It was clear upon further examination that the fight was a sparring match to win the affections of this juvenile wolfess.

She watched carefully, before turning around to see some wolves snarling at her. Because of their secret threat, she turned around and walked further into camp.

Frenicks turned back to see the betas had scared Aspen further into camp, and he glowered at them to frighten them in return. "Do not even try to harm your future Queen..." Frenicks warned, before waddling to Aspen's side. "My apologies for my pack." Frenicks said truthfully, wanting to treat his future mate delicately.

"Um. OK?" Aspen was clearly confused. She had no clue what was happening, the wolf, Frenicks, had said something about queen, and the others had back down easily, before Frenicks had wobbled to her side.

"Um... Miss... did your dad say anything about what was going to happen to you?" Frenicks asked.
