Tyler set the trap back up, making sure there was an easy way to let it down now. He then went to the girl. "Can I reward your wound? It needs to be cleaned and it's in a hard place for you to reach." He said gruffly, waiting for an answer.

Regan looked up a little bit when heard the boy's voice again, and shrugged a little bit... she supposed it'd be good for her wound to stay clear. And infection could very much kill her now... which was not what she wanted. Not if it meant she'd be leaving Millie here alone. "Yeah," she hummed before forcing herself out of the little hole. "How long have you been here? Are you just passing through?" She asked after a moment or two... food was limited. She was struggling to find anything for herself, and her ribcage showed that. They were too close together - it would draw more attention from unwanted people. But for now she didn't want to worry about that.

Tyler started unwrapping her wound, peeling off the now sticky with blood bandage. He threw it away and replaced it with a new one after cleaning the wound. After he was done he stepped back, took a breath, and answered, "I've been here ever since the pandemic started and I had to move. And no, I intend on staying. Also, if you're worried about food, don't be. Raptor is specially trained to hunt food we can eat, and he can travel miles in a day." Tyler added, knowing she had to leave soon but also knowing she wasn't ready, yet

Regan squeaked when he peeled the bandage off, biting her bottom lip so that she didn't let out any more noise so to attract anything. She frowned a little bit when this boy... Aaron? Said he wasn't intending on moving out of the area. She was still very worried about... well, evething. She'd been split up from her family a while back now, though she still hoped she'd find them... somehow. "Thank you," she murmured once he'd finished. She then looked to Millie with a cocked head. "We need to teach you to fetch food," she mused lightly, placing a hand on her side as the pain ebbed away again.

Tyler nodded, a slight frown on his face. He wanted to take care of this girl... but she was incredibly rude and kind of ungrateful. Tyler turned his gaze to his dog. "Raptor, go find food please." He muttered, the black GSD darting off into the night. He looked back to Millie and Reagan, sighing before building the fire back up and going to sit against a tree in the clearing outside

The girl noticed the slight frown on his face and shook her head. She was aware she was being... not the nicest, but she was very clearly nervous about everything. She didn't feel safe here... she wanted to go home, but she knew she'd never get back there like this. Not without dying first. She looked back at Arron after a moment or so before sighing and crawling out the warmth of the little dip in the ground. "So you've been here since the start? I'm surprised I haven't stumbled across here before," she hummed lightly, hugging the blankets close to her shoulders.

"Yes, I've been here ever since I heard the first scream." His voice was low, a look like a storm cloud on his face. "I ran and never returned. My father was in the army and he came back and taught me everything about surviving on my own and making good, unnoticeable traps. That's why I've survived for so long, even though I'm 'too nice' and 'too trustful'" Tyler stood, leaning against the tree with his arms crossed. He heard a slight noise, and then Raptor burst through the underbrush, panting happily with a big rabbit in his mouth. He dropped it, yipping once in victory. Tyler let a very small smile quickly cross his face

Regan scoffed at his comment about him being too nice and trustful. He most certainly was too nice, and despite him telling her about how he'd managed to survive, she was still surprised. But his good nature meant she could let him provide for her for a little while. It'd make life easy for her. She jumped when she saw the movement of the dog, then cursed herself as pain shot through her side again. "Your dad was here when this all started then?" She asked with a cocked head. He wasn't here now, she knew that much. She then wrinkled her nose and looked at the traps. "Yeah, well those traps work just fine," she growled, resting her head on her hand. Tyler looked at her as she jumped up. "Yes. He still is alive, I know that much. He will come when he's ready." Tyler said, doubt creeping into his low voice. At her other comment he flinched, getting up. "Well you get some rest then." He said lowly, stalking out of the clearing and into the darkness, Raptor following at his heels.

Regan groaned when he told her to rest... but, to be honest this wound was completely draining her, so she flopped back in the spot in the tree. She could see grey clouds rolling in through the gaps in the canopy, and dread seemed to run through her. Rain of any sorts was never very good... it made things very hard to stay warm. She wrinkled her nose when he said that his father would come back... he really was a bit soft. It'd been months now, and by now anyone would know that if someone didn't come back, then they weren't likely to ever come back.
