"I'd rather not have someone die because of me" She replied. She shook her head and walked over to the shade of a nearby tree. She laid down and huffed.

Lion suddenly felt slightly bad. "It wouldn't be because of you! It would be because I DECIDED to jump and let the cougar land on me, that's all." He said. You could tell the pain was growing, because he kept shifting feet and wincing

"Lay down, it's obvious your injuries are bothering you" She said, looking up at him. Her face was a little bit more relaxed than it was before.

"I'm not laying down again." He said stubbornly, going to stand in the shade of a tree. He waited... standing... quivering.

Saint eventually opened her eyes, heaving herself up onto her feet. She shook her entire body and observed her surroundings. She noted Lion was finally asleep. She was glad he was finally resting, he needed to. She walked over to the stream and bent her head down and drank a few mouthfuls of water. Edited at March 28, 2023 01:08 PM by Midnight Mist

As soon as Saint got up, Lion awoke and jumped to his feet, his ears pinning slightly. When he saw it was only Saint that made the noise, he huffed grumpily and walked over to the water, taking a drink. From there he started grazing. He didn't seem to show any pain anymore. Most horses would be dead, and the some that did survive would still be blacked out. He was already up and moving one DAY after the attack

"Calm down" Saint mumbled. She looked over at him, one of her ears twitching. She seemed to still be somewhat tired.

Lion glanced at her. "You should get some more rest." He muttered. It was half because he cared, and half because he didn't want her telling him to stop moving around. He stretched one leg, then the other, then the other, then the other, then shook his mane.
