She continued to eat and saw the stallion watching her out of the corner of her eye, but didn't mind. -As long as he isn't attacking her is fine- she thought. The sun gleamed down and made her copper pelt shine brighter and her black mane gleam. She liked how the sun warmed her and her body relaxed.

The stallion sighed, laying down his head. He knew the mare might leave, and was sad but he couldn't do anything to stop it. The sun warmed his dark grey coat, his ears flicking lazily. He could practically FEEL his body healing itself.

Once she had eaten her fill her head lifted and looked up at the sun, seeing that it was a little past the middle of the sky. She glanced over at the stallion and thought for a moment before trotting over and laying down a little bit away from him, not getting in his personal space. -I would leave him if he wasn't very injured- she thought as she curled her legs beside her, -but since he is so injured there is no way that he could hold his own again. So until he is healed then I can stay here. It's not like I have anywhere or anyone to get back to.-

He was pretending to be asleep but saw the mare lay down a little ways away. He was thankful for the company, so he raised his head and said, "I know this is boring and I need to get some exercise. Want to see something cool?"

She looked over at the stallion as he spoke again and nodded some. "Sure," she says, "what is it?" Her head tilted slightly as she asked the question, curious on what it was.

The stallion heaved his thick frame off the ground, wincing slightly at the twinge of pain. He trotted out, stretching out his legs till it hurt. He went to the right wall, about a mile away and stopped, waiting for the mare. Once she got there, he went THROUGH THE WALL (really through some bushes and vines that covered an entrance) and disappeared. As the mare stepped into the hidden cave, the burst of color was amazing. West grinned at her. "Welcome to what I call the 'Cave of Wonder'." There were glittering stones everywhere, bursting off blasts of light in all arrays, all precious gems. There was a small pool in the middle, glowing with azure gems under the water and lighting up the whole glittering, sparkling cave.

She looked around the cave in awe seeing all of the glowing gems. The mare didn't even bother walking very far into the cave and just stood beside the stallion, turning her head to look at everything. "This is so cool," she said, still awestruck, "how do you just find these places? They are just beautiful.." Her eyes scanned the walls of the cave, gleaming from the different colored glows the cystals gave off.

His eyes twinkled at her awe. "When you've been around for eight years, sitting alone your whole life, you tend to find things no other horse looks for." A hint of sadness tinged his voice at the word 'alone'

"I understand that," she says nodding her head in agreement. She turned her head to look at the stallion, "I don't believe I have caught your name. May I ask what it is?"

"My name is Wild West, but you can call me West. What's yours?" He smiled, his dark eyes glittering with the lake water and gemstones that sparkled and spattered light everywhere
