She swallowed. "Sage... Sage come here" she held her shaking arms out, just needing the comfort of knowing he was there no matter what was going on. Florida didn't mind him being on all fours. She honestly thought it was kinda funny, but there was no laughter in her right now. She had seen, heard, and felt too much to be able to laugh. Time... that was all she needed. Maybe in a few months or even years when she didn't have nightmares with the patients dead faces, maybe then she could truly laugh. Right now? She was feeling so many emotions, and not a single one was happy.

Sage sort of threw an uneasy glance over his shoulder, in the direction the man had dissapeared in. It was stupid, he knew...the guy was logn gone, at least for now. But he was still in defense mode, so it was admittedly really hard to calm down. At Florida's comment, though, he blinked, shaking his head to get him out of his thoughts, and crept over to her side, drawing her into an embrace that he hoped would help calm both of them down. "You're not hurt, are you," he sort of murmured anxiously after a moment. moving to pull beck enough to sniff at her face, relieved to not smell any blood on her.

"No I'm fine" she held him close to her, slowing her breathing and willing the tears to stop. "I'm so confused..." she shook her head, releasing her grip on Sage but keeping her arms around him. Flo looked him in the eyes. "Do you think he will actually come back..?"

Sage nodded and let out a relieved sigh when she confirmed she wasn't hurt, but frowned on response to her other comment, shaking his head. "I don't know," he admitted quietly. "I hope I at least have him something to think about," he sighed.it would probably just mean he'd come back with more men. He could have easily killed the guy....but he was still flos father, and he doubted she'd have appreciated watching him tear his throat open.

Flo gave a hesitant nod, leaning back into Sage. She ran a hand down the back of his head, her fingers playing with his hair. She let out a soft breath, her eyes closing as she held him. She didn't want to let go, but she knew he would need air eventually so she forced herself to let go. She rocked off of her knees and onto her back, staring up at the sky. "Do you think it's safe to find somewhere that isn't here?" She glanced over at Sage

Sage sort of just leaned into her touch, squeezing her gently before releasing her as she moved to let go. He set down next to her with a sort of sigh, looking up at the sky as he thought. "I don't know," he admitted. "There's food and water here, and shelter....things a lot of people don't have." This man though ...they knew nothing about him, other than he wanted Florida. "Do you have any idea why he tried to take off with you," he asked after a moment.

Florida let out a shakey breath. "I have no idea... but he scares me..." She looked back at Sage. "We should probably go back inside" she said quietly, taking a second before forcing herself up onto her trembling legs. She grabbed Sage's arm for support until she could control her mind and calm down a little

Sage nodded with a frown, glancing down the road again and thens colding hismelf. The guy was gone, so he didn't ened to keep doing that. He'd know if he came within miles of the place. "Yeah," he murmured, now completely exhausted now that the adrenaline was draining from his body. He held onto her for support just as much as she was leaning on him to the point he really wasn't sure who was supporting who. But soon enough the doors were locked and they were back on their bed.

Flo collapsed on the bed, turning away from Sage. she finally allowed her to truely cry, her body shaking again when the tears began to stream down her face again. She didn't understand what was happening? How did James even find her? She stared at the wall, scared to look at Sage. Why? She couldn't figure it out herself, but she was

Sage sort of sighed inwardly when the girl started crying and just moved to turn over with a grunt, wrapping an arm around her tiredly. He did this best to stay awake, but his body betrayed him and he passed out pretty quickly, despite his efforts to stay awake and comfort Florida.
