Zephyr tilted his head as he listened, trying not to look straight at her. "I'm not quite sure, but I think being a mechanic first then an engineer would be fun. However, most likely I'll go into the air force and fly fighter jets, like my father- he assumes ill do that." He snorted, glancing at her and mentally slapping himself. He needed to stop acting so weird.

"That's cool! Atleast you know what you want to do" she put her hands on her hips. "I'll probably end up playing softball in college or something and trying to make a living off of that. Coach has told me about a few colleges that allow scholarships and I've already got one with Alabama" she stood up and looked around, her green eyes landing on the slide. "Just a second" she said with a bright smile as she made her way to the slides. She climbed a plastic rock wall and sat at the top of the slide, sliding down. "Oh I've missed this so much!" She said as she skipped back to the swings.

"Ha, not really. Those are just speculations." Zephyr snorted, then nodded. "Makes sense. You're a great softball player." He answered, looking impressed when she said she already had a scholarship. He was a little amused when she went to the slide. Zeph sat down on a low platform, breathing in the fresh air.

Sophia turned and plopped down beside him. "Soo..." she tilted her head toward him with a smile. Her hands were beside her legs, her fingers drumming against the side of the metal.

Zephyr had proceeded to stare off into space like he was thinking of how to cure cancer or get rid of world hunger. He glanced sideways as Sophia sat down, mentally smacking his own brain. That feeling, he'd known it once before and he KNEW what it was but he would never accept it. He couldn't. Some part of him, though, said it would just grow stronger till he spoke. "Soooo what?" He tried to distract himself.

"I don't know" she glanced away. Her stomach felt like it was about to explode for how many flutters she was feeling. Sophia's eyes darted to Zephyr a few times. She wondered what he was thinking, and if he was feeling she same things she was.

"Sooo you said soo for no reason?" He joked, the one thing that always seemed intact, no matter how he was feeling. It's how he concealed anger, how he calmed down. Joking for him was like mental therapy to hide his emotions. "Sooo I should probably go. My siblings, for one, have probably already let a snake or two loose in my room, and I need to take the dog on a walk. See you tomorrow?" He asked with a small smile as he glanced at her, bearing the feeling away.

"Yes I did" she concealed a blush as he stood. "Yeah. I probably need to go too" she walked with him back to the school. "Bye Zephyr. I'll see you tomorrow" she got in her car and drove back home. She thought about how awkward she sounded the entire drive home. When she got him, she talked to Ryan and her parents before going to bed.

"See you tomorrow." He answered with a small smile after they reached the school, parting ways and driving home. Of course there were the questions about where he was every time after school, and when he finally admitted something the mother swooped in like a velociraptor and scared him half to death with her words. After being traumatized and reminding himself never to say the word *girl* around his mother, he went to bed. The next morning Zephyr arose earlier than normal, taking the time to get dressed in his normal clothes, not really style his hair but brushing it more than normal to make up for the day before, and eat a good breakfast before driving to school.

Sophia woke up as normal, going to school in a nice sweater and jeans. She walked into school. A few people looked at her, but she ignored them. She walked to her locker and stared at the books for a second, fiddling with the books.
