"Good to know, I guess." Trixie huffed, lowering her arms and nodding at him. "Alright." She nodded, watching him glance at a certain piece of paper before leaving. She sat boredly for a few minutes, when stood and wandered around, eventually to the counter. The same piece of paper caught her eye once more, and she absentmindedly began to read.

Matt had taken quite a bit longer than usual to even get to the shower let alone get in. He spent more than enough time just sitting there thinking about nothing in particular, or watching out the window at the various people arriving. Still, after enough time wasted, he headed into the shower, his mind filled with nearly nohing other than Trixie.

Trixie gave the paper a confused look, hopping up on the counter to look down on it. She understood most of it, but some of it was hard to believe. She swallowed and picked it up, scanning the paper worriedly.

After the long shower, Matt threw a shirt and trackies on and headed back downstairs, shaking the damp water out his hair as he did so. He raised his eyebrows as his foot hit the bottom step, looking at Trixie. "Is it at least interesting?" He asked with a slight smile, though it was easy tot ell he didnt exactly..appreciate her reading the paper.

Trixie started slightly when he spoke, looking at him a little guiltily. "I'm sorry, I was wandering around- And I- I shouldn't have..." She faded off, slipping off the counter and giving him a slightly ashamed look.

Matt gave Trixie a weak smile and slipped the paper from the counter into his pocket. "Dont look so scared, it's fine" he said softly, though he was fighting every instinct to make a joke by that point. "What exactly did you..see?" He asked, slightly nervously. Most of it wasnt exactly a problem, aside from the not so private top sentence that he hadnt exactly fallen off the cliff.

Trixie swallowed, giving him a weak smile, mulling through the information in her mind. She flushed at his question. "I mean, a lot. Nothing that really... changes my opinion of your or anything." She wasn't really lying- it just made her realize there was... a lot more to him than she knew. She wanted to feel bad for him, but he would hate it. "i never said it would, is there a reason it would?" Matt asked, his tone patronising instead of the usual tease. He kept his frown until he neared her, then broke into a smile slowly after. "Again, i'm joking. I'm not bothered" he said, putting his arms gently round her after he finished speaking.

"I- no, I just meant- well-" Trixie attempted to stutter something out, but stopped when he gave her a smile, returning it slightly and flushing a brighter pink. "I'm still really sorry." She murmured as he wrapped his arms around her, laying her head on his shoulder.

"Again, it's fine. It's just funny to scare you like that" Matt said letting out a slight laugh, stroking her hair instinctively. He found that strangely relaxing, though he'd never work out why. "Do you wanna come up then?" He asked, gesturing towards the stairs. "without that sounding too inviting" he added with a playful smile, shaking the droplets off his hair.
