Fear flashed in her eyes. "The animals are all running away.. and they are warning us because a monster of a storm is coming. I know you can't move that far that fast, so I'm building a shelter..." Quinn Explained, finishing the tightly woven hut. It was small, and they'd have to squeeze together... but for one they were married now and for two they both gave off body heat. This storm would be much harder to survive on their own.

Sage frowned, just as worried as Quinn was. "Are you sure? Normally I can sense those things coming," he croaked out, lifting his head and sniffing the air. It took him a minute, since his head was so muddled, but eventually his eyes widened. "They aren't kidding....it's quite the monster about a mile away," he informed her. "Is there a cave or something nearby? I'm not sure anything we build will hold up, especially with me feeling like shit."

"There's no cave.. but tree roots really are strong. This one his holding firmly in the ground, and I weaved it together. If it blows apart.. we will find something else. Fast."" Quinn made a face, coughing slightly. She was tired, sore, and felt as if she couldn't breath... but she knew Sage felt a lot worse so she didn't show her pain and kept on going.

Sage groaned and nodded, hauling himself up to crawl over to the border of the tree to help the girl weave the branches together. Their horses had found a place to hide the storm out in...but with the two of them being hurt, they probably needed something a bit better than this. But, he couldn't complain he supposed. They and the horses both had shelter. He really did feel awful, and his vision was swirling about, but his hands knew what they were doing. He'd made plenty of shelters like this one before. The storm came soon enough, and even though he was exhausted, he crouched on the ground and slid to the back of the little fort with a whimper. Everything was loud...much too loud for his senses, and the thunder and lightning still scared him to death.

Quinn just sat by Sage. As she saw he was afraid.., and the noises probably hurt his ears she wrapped her arms around him and leaned her head on his shoulder. Quinn felt bad he was in this much pain, and it was her fault they were out here in the first place. She let out a sigh, flinching every time to wind whistled past the entrance

Sage was admittedly quite grateful when Quinn came to sit down next to him. He cuddled up gratefully, partly because he figure they were married so it was fine and partly because everything hurt and he was terrified, and the girl was a comfort. Plus, he was cold, and she was warm.

Even with the wind blowing Quinn was tired, so she fell asleep with her head resting on Sage's shoulder. The storm was bad, but it didn't tear their shelter out of the ground. Thankfullly... Quinn was too exhausted to care.

Sage stayed pressed up against Quinn while she slept. He sort of instinctively let her lay down and then crouched over her protectively. Wolves mated for life, and were very protective and loyal to their partners...which was what Quinn was to him now. He stayed that way until the storm quieted down and calmed quite a bit, even though he was hurting and completely exhausted. He couldn't sleep while it was storming no matter how bad he felt. He crouched down next to her then, still tired and hurting but not as keyed up as he was.

Quinn awoke to a dim dawn light, blinking wearily and sitting up. She looked around. They weren't squished, the tree hadn't fallen over, and their shelter wasn't ripped apart. Those are.. good things. She glanced at Sage, unhappy to find he looked just as bad as last night. Then she crawled out of the shelter and gasped. Trees were tipped over all around, bushes were torn out of the ground... it was a miracle that their shelter stayed together. Then Quinn went on the long journey to find peppermint and Barmy root for Sage. It took quite a while.. considering all the bushes she found were ripped apart. After about half an hour she found both of them and stumbled back to the campsite to boil some water and give it to Sage. Quinn started a fire, boiled the water, let it cool off, and handed it to the man. "Here.. it's the same stuff as before. I hope it helps." She said quietly, keeping the fire going.

Sage sort of just...stayed where he was at. He drifted off for a while, but soon enough woke up again because things were starting to hurt again. They were starting to hurt much worse, he thought, than before. It was almost too much effort to reach for the cup and lap up whatever was in it. He fell asleep quickly once he'd drunken it, since it dulled the pain a bit. He still couldn't sleep long, though...the pain came back again, and worse than before, so after only around three or so hours, he woke up with a whine.
