Mari shook her head and gave a slight smile at his small joke. It seemed like she was always smiling... and she was, really. She always saw the better in things. Once the boy had gotten himself to bed she huffed out a breath. "Anya sounds smart," she hummed lightly. When he asked if she needed anything she nodded lightly and showed him the bandages. "I noticed a scab peeled off with the ones you had on yesterday. It's probably because you've had the same ones for too long. We can put a clean one on today and then tomorrow as well, leave it a day or two then I'd say you could do without them from then on. They actually looked alright other than the deeper bits," she shrugged and put the roll down. "I take it the doctor had been already? I've been here a couple of hours and seen him poke his head in once or twice," she added lightly.

Sage snorted and shrugged. "Well you're a lot like her," he grumbled before a yawn broke his thoughts. He wrinkled his nose when she handed the bandages out, but he wasn't up for arguing, and it was probably a good idea. Besides, peeling the scabs did hurt when he peeled them off, so if something helped he may as well try it. He sighed and sat down on the bed and reached for the bandages tiredly. He'd wrap them up quick and then go to bed....they didn't have to be perfect. They probably wouldn't be, since he was half asleep still. But that would be fine.

The young woman nodded lightly. She didn't think she could be much like the princess at all - from what she'd heard, the girl was... bossy. Very bossy, and controlling. Her mother was, too, but in a very different way. When the queen was bossy, it was because she needed something to get done, so she was looking after everyone she needed to be looking after. The princess was spoilt and seemed to enjoy having people run after her. Well, that was what her friends told her, at least. She watched him pick up the rolls before looking around slightly. "You must have been up all night," she hummed as she went to pick the pictures up, putting them in a little pile in the corner. She saw one of herself and couldn't help the stupid grin she had across her face. "I like this one," she chuckled before putting it in the pile with the rest. It meant you'd be able to get in and out without standing on, well everything. "Anything you need?" she then asked quietly, knowing he was tired, to say the least.

Sage was focusing on unwrapping the bandages around his wrists without hurting himself. Then again, he also didn't really care...he just wanted to get back to sleep if he could. Though, he glanced over at the girl when she spoke up and shrugged before going back to the bandages. "most of it," he hummed. "I usually don't manage to get much sleep," he admitted. Then he felt a light blush cross his face when she noticed he'd drawn her and commented on it. "I got bored drawing the doctor," he chuckled lightly, picking up another drawing, this one more cartoon ish, of the old man blowing fire from his mouth. That was just a joke, which was why is was so much less realistic than the others. It was funny....his drawings could be realistic and super good, or they would end up like that. He supposed it was what he felt like at the time. When the girl asked if he needed anything he sighed and shook his head. "Not unless you have an alternate childhood for me to take on hiding in that dress somewhere," he told the girl. Then he glanced over at her and eyed her. "I doubt it," he added on, though it was more of a bit of a tease than anything.

The young woman wrinkled her nose at his comment about having an alternative childhood hidden away in her dress. "No. But you wouldn't want it if I did," she told him with a soft huff. She let out a type of snort when she saw the boys drawing of the doctor. It was... funny. In truth, the boy wasn't as bad as she'd first expected. She didn't like him per say, but she was expecting him be he a lot worse that he was. By that she meant spoilt and stubborn, with something nasty to say about everything that went on about him. She wasn't sure why she felt like he'd been that kind of person. She would have been nice either way, so she didn't think it mattered all that much. "I meant like food or water or something," she told him after a moment. She grinned and took a gentle hold of the drawing of the old man - well, before Sage got a say whether or not she took it or not. "I'm going to show the good doctor," she told him with a teasing grin.

Sage hummed and shrugged lightly. "Well it can't be that bad, if you did," he hummed. Then he gave the girl a sort of half grin and shook his head. He'd known that's what she was offering...but he didn't need anything like that. It just makes him feel more like throwing up. He squeaked and yanked the drawing back when she threatwned to show the doctor. "Nope, he doesn't need to see this one," he chirped, holding it to his chest. There was a sort of playful glitter in his eyes, for the first time in a long while. "If you're gonna show him something, show him this," he pointed to a much better portrait of the doctor. At least better in his opinion. It definitely showed the old man's...coarse character. But he knew they liked eachother, no matter what happened.

Mari gave a small laugh when he mentioned the hidden-away childhood again... it wasn't funny, not at all, but her own childhood had been less than stellar... not bad by any means, but not amazing. There were a couple of things she'd much rather erase from her mind than think of day after day. Still, she had it in her to make a joke of sorts. "Not unless you want said childhood to be filled with pink unicorns and sparkly rainbows - that's a whole other kind of torture," she hummed lightly before shaking her head after a moment. She kind of pouted when the boy took the drawing from her and rolled her eyes as she looked at the other portrait... it was good, of course, it was, but it also wasn't quite as funny as the other one. "No," she complained, "I think he'd much prefer the other one," she added with a laugh.

Sage wrinkled his nose at the girl's response. Rainbows and unicorns definitely wasn't his type of thing. Unless said unicorn was gutting someone with it's horn...that would be fairly interesting. Mainly because he wouldn't want to be stabbed with a horse that had another giant toenail on it's forhead. "I think I'll keep the mud and blood," he hummed in a rather joking way, and flopped back on the bed, having finished with the bandages. He wrinkled his nose slightly and shrugged, tossing the picture he was holding to the side. "He's probably already seen it anyway," he admitted. "He looks through everything I do so he can tell if I need extra help that day or whatever." He grinned sheepishly and lifted a shoulder in a type of shrug. "Unless you want that picture to be a reality, I would suggest not showing the good old doctor," he hummed, in a rather amused voice.

The girl hummed lightly and shook her head. "If he hasn't seen it I'm sure I'll hear it when he does," she told him with a bit of a smile. She then took the nicer portrait from him and gave a bit of a nod. "I'll give him this, actually. It's really very good." She hummed lightly and gave a grin. "Roast for dinner. You'd better eat it because it's gonna have been cooking for hours," she told him with a bit of a laugh. There'd be more than enough to take home, too... maybe tomorrow night she'd come up and spend the night in the maid's quarters. They were comfortable, and she really should be staying in the castle if she was helping the doctor.

Sage lifted a shoulder in a tired shrug. "If he'd seen it already and I was asleep he would probably just waited until I woke up to mention it," he hummed. "Unless he just found it amusing enough to let it go." Then he groaned and shook his head. "what is it with you people always telling me to eat better," he whined, though of course he knew they only meant it for good. They were only trying to help. And food did make him more aware and all that...but he didn't really want to be aware. He didn't want to be that healthy physically when he was so unhealthy otherwise. Besides, it make his stomach roll anyway.
