Iris listened to Carmen's words and got through the session without much fault. The entire time she was off her game-- growing more and more distracted with wondering about Caden and the woman in front of her. When they were finished, she gave a half-hearted wave to Carmen and began packing up her things. She didn't notice Caden until he sat down in the chair across from her. She glanced up and saw his expression. She had been looking forward to the English session with Caden because she hadn't seen him in a while, but in the past few hours she'd been seriously considering the fact that he didn't want her anymore. Now they would have to talk. She wasn't sure she wanted that. But with the look on Caden's face, she couldn't not say anything. "Hey, are you okay?"

Caden stared off for a moment, fidgeting a little more than normal. He rubbed the back of his neck, looking up at her when she asked the question of if he was alright. "Nope." He muttered, casting his gaze away before looking out the door. After seeing she was gone, he leaned in, voice dropping to a quieter tone. "She knows. About the rooftop, she knows about it."

Iris looked at him in confusion. "What do you mean? How?" She wasn't ready to believe it yet, so she wasn't that worried. Besides, Carmen seemed like the kind of person to make up those things to get at someone. But what was she trying to do to Caden? ...Or... Was it Iris she was trying to do something to?

"She knows about it. That's all I know, I was right there then she came up and said 'I know about the rooftop' and it's freaking me plum out." He explained, words coming quickly from nerves. "Почему это происходит? Я думал, что это уже сделано." Caden muttered under his breath, bobbing his leg.

Dread crept through Iris. Then she realized something that made her pause. "Wait, why should we care that she knows? I mean, I guess I'm a little disturbed, but I don't... Well, I don't mind." This was half true. She didn't mind that someone had been spying on her. But she did mind that Carmen had seen her with Caden.

"I moved here because of her, because of her antics. And now she's back and knows everything she shouldn't, if I never knew her then i'd be back home, now i'm stuck here." Caden admitted, realizing he had said he'd pretty much do anything to get away. He was silent after that for a moment, realizing the weight of his words.

Iris was silent, thinking about what he had said. Maybe... She'd been wrong about them? Just the way he'd been acting since Iris mentioned Carmen said so... But it also could all be a trick. She didn't know.

"I didn't mean it like that, America's great and I met you because I came here, so... guess it worked out. I just... wish I could still be where I was, the place is miserable but---I enjoy it." He murmured, hoping he'd said enough as he rubbed his neck. Caden's voice was small and quiet, as though he was somewhat scared. The man avoided Iris's gaze, fearing she'd snap at him or worse.

Iris forced herself to say something. His words just made her feel like... Well, if he hadn't wanted to come here, then didn't that mean he didn't want her? No, because he hadn't met her yet. But it still made her feel... Something. Something that she didn't want to feel. "No, it's... It's okay. That makes sense. Reminds me of how I first felt when I came here. Like I didn't belong but had to come..." She looked down, suddenly aware that she'd just shared something she hadn't wanted to say. "But, I mean, it's better now." Then she added under her breath, "A little."

Caden just nodded, running a hand through his hair and down his face. He bobbed his leg, gaze darting around as he fidgeted. Numerous distractions, too loud outside, why was it so quiet in that office? He messed up, should've know better. Seriously, why's it so loud? The silence is awfully loud today. What if he just doomed the relationship between him and Iris fore- -Chill out. Might've messed up, still, theres a way to fix it.- He thought in his head, fidgeting less.
