"One second," She says, heading back into the cabin. Elara pulled her cloak on, making sure to hide her face very well, along with her hair. "Alright, let's go." She said, grabbing a few knives and hiding them.

Sage nodded, waiting while she got her cloak, and then moved to walk next to her as they headed out. The town was only a few miles away - not too far but far enough no one would come across the cabin easily, especially since it was an abandoned area. "Tools first, then seeds and stuff," he asked once they got there, since the tools shop was closer to them.

"Gotcha," She says, walking into the tool shop. "Hm, hoes might be useful, shovels for sure," Elara muttered, honestly having no idea.

Sage nodded as he looked around, picking out a few gardening tools as well as some things like hatchets and axes for firewood and basic tools for around the house like brooms. Once they gathered all of that, which wasn't a whole lot but definitely helpful, they moved out of the shop towards the other one. They wound up stopping in a greenhouse sort of thing, to get plants already started for a garden. They were looking around when he heard someone call his name and he froze before looking up, eyes widening as he recognized the woman standing there. "No...no you're dead," he got out, taking half a step backwards, away from her, heart and mind racing. "No, I'm not," she responded with an eye roll he knew all too well. "And I've missed you," she added, bouncing over and wrapping her arms around him in a tight embrace. Too tight, really, and the words she hissed in his ear were anything but nice. He hugged her back though, knowing he'd need to put on the front of being happy to see her. Have her back. There wasn't another option.

Elara moved out of the way as they hugged, standing with a brow raised, and a confused expression as she went and paid. "I don't know what's going on, and I don't know if I want to know. I'll be in the bakery, once you two lover birds are done i'll be in there." She informed Sage, walking out of the awkward situation.

Sage glanced over at her as she spoke up, wishing he'd had time to warn her. He wasn't sure what he'd be able to say either but ...he didn't want her to go. He bit his tongue to keep from calling her back, knowing Amy wouldn't appreciate it. He was in enough trouble already. Once Elara was gone, she released him, though kept a firm grip on his arm."want to explain to me first," she snapped. He shook his head, kind still whirling. "I'm helping her build a cabin ..on the east side of town," he sputtered, having enough sense to lie about where they were staying. She glared at him but didn't argue. "Well we're going home," she declared, dragging him along behind her as she moved towards Elara. "I'll be taking him home now," she told the other girl. "I'm sure your cabin can be built without him. He'd probably mess it up anyway," she added with a laugh, like she was teasing. He knew she wasn't. He threw a nervous and apologetic look at elara as she towed him away, but knew better than to try and argue with her. (We could maybe skip ahead a few weeks until Elara decides to try and find him? And winds up helping him out of the situation once she realizes how bad it is?)

Elara's face faltered slightly, wincing at what the woman said. "Alright, then. Thanks for the help getting-" She cut off, making a lie. "Nevermind," She shot him a apologetic look before heading off into the woods back to the cabin. Elara made her way back to the cabin and realized Liz was still there, babbling at Varys who was nuzzling her. "Oh shit, not good." (alr)

Sage kept his mouth shut as Amy dragged him back to the house she seemed to be staying in, keeping up the facade of a loving wife until the door closed behind him. Once they were alone, her face contorted into a snarl as she whirled to face him, and even though he shrunk away from her the heavy blow she dealt him sent him staggering. The hir had stunned him enough that he couldn't block the next few hits even if he wanted to...though by then it was all he could do to curl up on the floor. He spent a lot of his time like that, curled up in an attempt to protect himself. The rest of it was spent doing her every whim - for both her and the many friends she always seemed to have over. He wasn't sure how long it had been after a while, he'd given up on ever escaping her clutches. But it was enough time for him to loose weight - he was painfully thin now, each rib protruding clearly and his clothes hanging off of him like rags. Any didn't care, as long as he could please her, do chores, and not speak up he was valuable to her. And no matter how hard it for, he couldn't do anything. Could fight back. He never had been able to.

A few months passed and Elara had taken Liz into her care, the child being able to run now and speak some words. They were in the town when through a window she saw what looked like Sage, except a lot thinner, and worse looking, and overall very tired looking. She sighed, deciding to go knock on the door.

Sage had been cleaning the kitchen when he heard the knock on the door. He let out a tired sigh and moved to set the broom down, letting his hair down and checking his reflection quickly to make sure the bruises and cuts from any were mostly covered before opening it. Needless to say, it was quite a shock to see Elara, thought certainly not a bad one. Thankfully, Amy was gone at the moment, so he checked the street quick before yanking her inside quickly. "What are you doing," he sort of yelped. "If she finds you here she won't be happy," he added, brows furrowing slightly. His immediate thought, though, was about Liz. He'd missed her more than anything. "Is Liz ok?"
