After a few minutes of dead sprinting the two wolves arrived at the scene of the fight. The two shifted back to their human appearances, the beta going to try and pull the jumble of humans and wolves off of one another while Kyle tried to control the leader. It didn't take long before Kyle and the rogue leader had shifted into their wolf forms and were biting and clawing at one another. The rest of the wolves shifted back to their own human forms and stared at the two brawling, knowing that they couldn't stop them.

Tucker gasped, peeking out from his spot behind a tree. His wolf whimpered in his head hoping that Kyle would win but also didn't want to underestimate his power. He couldn't help but be worried

After 30 minutes of the two wolves fighting they both began to circle one another, both bleeding from many different wounds. Kyle tensed as he prepared to leap again at the rogue leader lowered his ears and tucked his tail, signaling that he surrendered. Kyle shifted back to his human form and said to the rogue, "Get out of here. If you come back again then your people will have to take you out in boxes." The rogue nodded, still in his wolf form, before limping off quickly with his group. As the adrenaline in Kyle's body began to fade he began to feel all of his injuries, forcing him to lean against a nearby wall as he winced at the pain.

Tucker ran out from his hiding spot. "Kyle!" He called as he ran to his side. "Let's get you to a healer" he says softly. He gently lifts Kyle's arms up, slowly to minimize the pain. "Can you stand?" He asks concerned. It would be easier to help Kyle if he could stand at least. He then draped Kyle's arm over his shoulder, helping him stand up. "I know I didn't listen to you, and I'm sorry, but you can scold me all you like when you're healed"

The beta tried to stop Tucker at first when he ran forward, but Kyle said to let him through in a low tone. "Y-you were supposed to stay.." Kyle tried to say as his voice got weaker, but stopped as he heard Tucker say to stay quiet once he was healed. The beta sent a wolf to go get a vehicle and another to run back to the mansion and make sure the healers are ready. The beta then went to Kyle's otherside and carefully helped Tucker take him to the now awaiting vehicle.

Tucker carefully sat Kyle down with the help of the beta. He then sat down next to him, looking him over and accessing how bad his wounds were. They were quite bad. "Go faster!" He urged the driver, not wanting Kyle to die on him. "You have to stay awake okay?" He begs Kyle.

Kyle winced as he was sat down in the vehicle, pain shooting through him from the slight impact. He felt the vehicle begin to move and heard Tucker beside him. Weakly Kyle turned his head and laid it on Tucker's shoulder, breathing sharply at the pain as he did so. "I-I'll try," he whispered when Tucker asked for him to stay awake

Tucker clenched his jaw as the vehicle jolted forward, the hum of the engine barely enough to mask the pounding in his head. He kept his gaze fixed ahead, but his thoughts were all over Kyle—he was still breathing, still alive, but barely. His body was covered in blood, the kind that told Tucker just how close they were to losing him. The sudden weight of Kyle's head on his shoulder nearly broke him. Tucker felt the heat of his skin, the erratic rise and fall of his breath. He couldn’t afford to lose him. Not now. Not like this. Not after everything they had been through. “Stay with me, Kyle. I’m right here,” Tucker murmured, his voice rough with the urgency that churned in his chest. His own heartbeat drummed in his ears, faster than usual, a steady reminder of how much was on the line. He gently placed a hand on Kyle’s arm, a grounding touch, like it would somehow keep him tethered to this world. Kyle’s whisper cut through his thoughts, a weak promise to try. The pain in his voice twisted something deep inside Tucker. “Good. You’re gonna make it,” Tucker said, voice low but firm. He wasn’t going to let that promise be empty. He’d fight for Kyle—just like he always had. But Kyle’s condition... it wasn’t good. Tucker could feel it in the air, in the raw scent of blood. His heightened senses screamed that time was slipping away, and he didn’t know how long they had before it was too late. He glanced down at Kyle’s face, trying to read him through the fog of pain. "Hang in there, Kyle. Don’t fade on me, okay? We’re almost there."

While Kyle's senses were going haywire due to all of his wounds and the pain from them, he could sense the amount of stress coming off of Tucker. It was like a thick cloud of smoke around him that only got worse and worse as they drove. He knew what it was like to have your mate on the verge of death, as the roles had been reversed not too long ago. Kyle opened his mouth to try and reassue Tucker but struggled to find the words he wanted to say. After a moment he shakily whispered, "I love you.." As he said this he felt the vehicle pull into the familiar curve of the mansion driveway. Once it stopped the door swung open and medical personel rushed to carefully take Kyle out of the vehicle and onto a stretcher. One of the nurses noticed Tucker sitting in the car with blood on his clothes, not knowing it wasn't his blood, and asks, "How badly are you hurt sir?" Meanwhile the rest of the medical team rushed Kyle into the mansion, shouting to one another what his damages were as a doctor rushed along with them.

Tucker’s breath caught when Kyle whispered those three words, the rawness in his voice cutting through the storm of his panic. He opened his mouth, desperate to say something—anything—but his throat was tight, his thoughts scattered like broken glass. Then the car stopped. The world shifted. The medics flooded the scene, but Tucker barely registered it, staring at the blood on his clothes and the chaos unfolding. The nurse’s question hit him like a punch to the gut. “I’m fine, it's not my blood,” he rasped, his voice barely a whisper. But he wasn’t fine. Not at all. Not while Kyle’s life hung by a thread. "Please help him, he's the one who's hurt" he begs Edited at November 21, 2024 08:06 AM by Hudie
