"I'm not all that surprised you figured that out." He teased, squinting up at her. He was getting s liiittle more used to the light but not enough to help. He bit his tongue to make it stop. He looked up at her- away from the coffee. "Yeah I'm fine, just a burnt tongue." He made a face. Looking down at it again. ..hesitantly blowing on it again.

"I pride myself on my observation skills." Tempe said sarcastically, sitting up and reaching for the coffee. "Can I have some?" She asked lightly, watching him.

"Creep." He looked up at her, a teasing expression on his face. He steaightened up a little, holding out further for her and making sure neither dropped it.

Tempe rolled her eyes and swatted playfully at his leg for the comment. "I literally hover over people for a living, you've never said anything more accurate in your life." She joked, taking the coffee carefully from him and taking a few sips as though it were nothing.

He grinned. "Thanks. I think." He rolled his eyes. Which turned into some form of a look of horrified confusion on his face as she handed it back. It was still steaming and the mug was hot to the touch.

Tempe blinked at the expression on his face. "What? I feel like we've already covered the fact that I don't feel pain." She huffed, smiling at the confusion still on his face. "You look dumb with your face like that. I like it better the way you normally have it." She said bluntly, laying back and staring at the ceiling. (("...so you like my face?"))

"That- it- it doesn't make me feel any better to watch it,-" he stuttered slightly, averting his eyes. But they came back as she continued. "Are you saying..you like my face?" He asked with some form of sincerity mixed with teasing. He put the mug on the nightstand. Hoping not to forget it.

"..oops?" Tempe shrugged, catching his eyes when he looked back at her. She rolled her eyes at him and then looked back. "To an extent, yes, I love your face." She said sarcastically, a very slight pink hue building on her cheeks. Edited at December 22, 2023 10:19 AM by Widow Valley Farms

Nate smiled. "Aww thats so sweet. You'll be glad to know I also don't think your face sucks." He said with a teasing look as he pushed off the bed and aimed for a duffel. "Dibs on first showerr, you snooze you lose." He turned with his clothes in his hand, pointing at the coffee. "I'm coming back for that, don't drink it all." His face was a pink enough she could probably see it. But he kept moving, on into the bathroom, shutting the door.

"Really? That might be the best and only compliment you've ever given me. I should get a shirt that says that-" Tempe joked, rolling her eyes at him. "I'm letting you have it. Out of the goodness of my heart." She joked, offering him a grin. "Hey! You had your chance, you snooze you lose." She mocked, grabbing a wadded up napkin and tossing it at the back of his head. "Have fun in your shower, dork." She said playfully, taking another sip out of the coffee and smiling at the distinct rosy hue on his cheeks.
