Kitty rolled her eyes at him and quickly grabbed the money for it from her pocket as the shopkeeper told her the price. It was... a hefty sum. Kitty dropped it without a second glance and smiled at him. "Awe, thanks." She said sarcastically. She gently took the ring and cleared her throat dramatically. She got as close as she could to down one knee in a skirt and held it up to him. "Will you be my friend?" She asked sarcastically, offering it to him.

He glared at her, it wasn't cheap thats for sure. He subtly brushed againt his wallet's pocket just to make sure he could pay her back seeing as how he didn't feel like he should be spent any money on. He'd been a bit of- quite a bit of a jerk keeping his marriage from her. His expression changed into curiousness as she knelt down. He gave her such a glare afterward but played along. He put his hands up to his face and squealed at her. "Yes!" he said in an excited and higher pitched voice, holding out his hand, which he flopped at her, waiting for the ring.

Kitty snickered at his reaction, watching the many double takes they got when they realised the situation was strangely reversed for the day and age. She took his hand and gently slid on the ring, standing. "Good, because if you said no, blackmail would have been coming into play. Just so you know." She teased, dusting herself off.

He giggled, quite a change for the tame appearance he put on when they walked. He pulled his hand up, admiring the gorgeous ring on his hand. "I doubt you can blackmail me with anything ..other than the yknow jousting. But I can blackmail you back so those cancel each other out." He gave her a teasing grin. "Thank you, its very lovely."

Kitty rolled her eyes, adjusting the hem of her skirt a little. "Oh, I'll find something. But that was just a possibility." She teased, moving to walk with him down the street. "It's no problem, just a ring. Now you can remember me forever." She said sarcastically, glancing around at a few of the other shops around.

He glared slightly. "Of course." He smiled, walking in time with her. "Lest I lose it of course, I'll have to put it on something so I don't." He grew a more innocent looking smile. "I shall cherish it forever." He crossed his arms. Loosening up as they walked though, his hands ending up behind his back eventually.

"You better not lose it." Kitty warned playfully, watching his posture with a little smile as she noticed it. "I mean, as you should. I don't usually walk around throwing gifts at people." She teased turning a corner as they reached the end of a street and glancing back at him, seeing as it was the road that lead on to her house. "Do you want to hang around a while longer or are you good to head to mine?" She asked thoughtfully, tilting her head at him slightly.

He narrowed his eyes. "Me neither. Now I have to get you something someday." He was practically threatening her with that, he could and would given the opportunity, he just needed to figure her out again. "I'm fine with going to your home, we still would have to walk there." He smiled gently. His posture made him look as if he was someone who was judging everyone. Like a nobleman in plain clothing. He felt quite out of place here.

Kitty gave a mock gasp of offense. "You wouldn't dare. I couldn't possibly accept a gift from someone as great as you." She teased, nodding. "Well then let's go." She smiled, starting off down the path. It was a short walk down the road, and when they turned to the house, it looked almost the same as it had the previous year. She walked lightly toward the front door, glancing over her shoulder at him with a small smile.

"Oh just you wait. It'll be something so grand you couldn't refuse." He squinted at her, sticking his tongue out a little. He glanced around the French scenery, admiring how little it had changed. He was only a few feet behind her, still taking in the area as she went to the house.
