Quinn made the quick decision to stay there for the whole night. Maybe it would help Sage if he rested a little longer. Quinn got out the blankets and put them on the ground, then leaned up against a tree and thought extremely hard about how to get the collar thingy off. (Could you describe it so I can think up a good solution lol? Is it metal, does it have a lock that sort of thing.)

(Lol yeah sure) Sage was perfectly fine with staying where they were at for some time. He sort of decided to just curl down on the blankets when she set it all up. The collar was still cold, and was rather tight on his neck too. The metal edges were sharp, though there were parts that had been made into chains too, which moved and grated against his skin. There wasn't a lock that he could see...but the chains just fused together somehow, and he couldn't figure out how. Then again, he was still feverish and his brain wasn't working, so maybe he was just being stupid. (I was thinkIng the shocks had burned him, and it got infected? And he gets like super sick or something?)

Okay I'll think of a way to get it off. Thanks! And sounds good eith the getting sick-) - Quinn eyes suddenly lit up. She murmured, "Well the collar is metal... and there isn't a lock which means the chains were fused together. If they are fused together, that means they can be broke apart a lot easier! Every fuse hasn't a weak point, I just have to find it." She studied the chain while Sage was catching his breath. There was one spot where the forging was thinner than the rest. Quinn searched through her bag. Somewhere in here she brought a tool to help... Quinn found what she was looking for. Just a long metal rod, but it was very thin at the end. Not even asking Sage she stuck it in the tiny gap, prying only a tiny bit before the collar snapped and fell to the ground Edited at April 8, 2023 03:04 PM by Wild Warmbloods

Sage had closed his eyes, thoroughly exhausted once he was sitting down. He half jumped when he felt the small tug on his neck...it hurt a bit, and he was rather cautious of that area since it was a vulnerable point. But he held still anyway, and murmured a kind of thanks to Quinn before yawning and sort of just pitching to the side and falling asleep. He was definitely glad the collar was off, but the fresh air stung. He still hurt a lot, but at least he was less worried about getting shocked again.

Quinn nodded. She was super exhausted.. so she kind of just collapsed and psssed out. Granted she would wake up later... she looked like a heap now. Quinn slept deeply for hours and hours, not even waking up when the sun rose

Sage slept for quite some time too, though he had to admit he had some pretty weird fever dreams while he was out. By the time he blinked his eyes open, the sun was high overhead. And, well, he felt awful, and the sun only made his head hurt worse. He was cold but sweating, and everything hurt, and his breathing was definitely not normal....it was rather hard to breathe, and it definitely hurt, actually.

Quinn was still... out. Sahara was grazing nearby. She whinnied when Sage awoke, looking at him. The birds chirped in the air then flew off quickly. A wolf howled.. some deer trumpeted. Every animal seemed to be on edge.

Sage did t even notice Quinn still being asleep...he sort of just curled up into a ball and let out a tiny whimper. Chaos came over and lay down next to him, and he definitely appreciated the warmth.

Quinn woke with a shiver. She looked around, seeing Sage curled up near Chaos. Then she heard the animal cries. Sahar whinnying... the wolves howling.. birds tweeting... deer trumpeting... they were all saying the same thing. Quinn eyes widened and she bounced up, almost falling over in the process. She Immediately grabbed the tarp out of her bag, running around with fear in her eyes. She found a large tree with the roots mostly sheltered, and some bushes on the outside. She started weaving branches together, making it stronger till it was like a fortress. Quinn threw the tarp over, tying it down then weighting it down with big rocks. Panic sparked in her gaze as she worked faster Edited at April 8, 2023 08:04 PM by Wild Warmbloods

Sage woke up to a very loud forest. His head was pounding, but Quinn was working franticly and he frowned, looking at her as best he could. "What...what are you doing," he rasped. "What's going on? And why is everything so loud," he all but whimpered.
