"Listen, my damn mistakes I was too much a coward to take care of earlier are biting my ass. And then now i'm carrying too much and I have to keep you happy and alive and it's alot but that doesn't mean I don't want you since I love you." He explained, pausing as he realized that, for once, Gale felt vulnerable.

She listened with a soft expression, taking his hand. "You know I'm here to take your burdens, right? I love you more than my own life, I've promised myself to you forever, we are a team. If something is bothering you, it bothers me too and sharing the burden makes it lighter for both of us. I love you, okay?" She said softly, kissing his cheek and squeezing his hand gently

He nodded, though he knew there'd been signs growing more often. Gale was 27, and there were already a few white hairs slipping in through his skin, morphing into the stubble already there. It was a mix of brown with just a teaspoon of white but still, they'd only came since he carried so much stress. The bags under his eyes had only grown, his body having dropped a quarter of its weight. It was something, alright. And Gale was losing the fight.
