Sage shook his head, pursing his lips. "Your heat scent is fading ...but I don't smell anything abnormal," he reassured her.

"Oh... yeah, thats why," she mumbled. She'd always gotten really upset when it was over. She guessed it was just the moodiness.

Sage nodded, humming softly. "I know it's hard, not getting you pregnant when you're like that....but it wouldn't be good for any of us if it happened," he sighed. "Well try again once this is all over," he promised. "For now, try to take a deep breath and relax a bit, yeah?"

Celeste just nodded, trying to settle down and relax, wiping her tears away.

Sage moved to run his thumb over his cheeks himself, before pressing a kiss to her head and wrapping himself around her again.

Celeste forced a weak smile up at him, curling in.

Sage smiled back, hoping she would get some sleep and then feel better. He hated seeing her like this.

Celeste curled in, hugging him tight with a sniffle.

He just pressed another kiss to her head, absentmindedly running his fingers through her hair slowly.

Eventually she fell asleep.
