Kitty smiled at him gave a small nod. "Sounds good to me." She confirmed, tucking a few strands of hair behind her ear as she lead him down a side street. It was a short walk before they emerged at the end of a bustling street, lined with shops and filled to the brim with people, horses and carts, children. "So. Besides gardening and jousting, do you have any other hobbies? Your majesty?" She asked idly, watching a few children play hopskotch not too far away.

He watched their surroundings mostly as they moved down the street. Observing the movements of townspeople from somewhere other than where he lived. Some things were different. Of course the buildings were too. Adorned. He always fancied the French, they always had such creativity. He looked down at Kate. "I have a tendency to draw, if that counts." He giggled. "I am getting good at fencing," he said in a slightly suggestive and unsure way.

"Oooh, such princely pursuits. Fencing and drawing. Im afraid I was never formally educated fencing wise, but I make a great model if you need someone to sit and look pretty." She joked. She led him lightly down one side of the streets, looking at some of the goods being sold. Her eyes lingered on a shop farther up, run by a younger, maybe fifteen year old boy that sold jewelry and rings and such. She knew most of these people by name, and the backstories to go with them, at that.

He made a face at her, teasing. "Fencing doesn't usually include any sitting. Unless you're the loser." He gave her a gentle nudge, though slightly distracted by the scenerey. He was mostly trying to not trip while sight seeing and or not to bump into anyone. He didn't know any of the people here, they all looked kind. Well- most. He looked down at her, seeing the look on her face. He followed hee gaze to the young man. All of this flwas familiar to her, but he was left entirely in the dark.

Kitty rolled her eyes at him. "Yes, because I totally didn't mean sitting pretty so you could draw me. I could probably still beat you sitting pretty. You would faint at my beauty." She teased, leading Ali lightly to the stalk and conversing with the boy in fluent french. He had a variety of handmade jewelry that was relatively high quality. She looked over them and made some sort of joke to the boy as she observed, which he flashed a crooked grin at. "What's your favorite color, Ali?" She asked lightly, turning to look at him.

He narrowed his eyes. "I would totally draw you, but I don't know if you'd appreciate being scribbled. I never said ai was good at drawing." He showed a bright smirk at as they approached the booth. He narrowed his eyes, glancing over all of the lovely jewelry, while eavesdropping. He looked up, "lavender." He drew his eyebrows down slightly in realization. "You are not buying me one with your own money." He said firmly.

Kitty rolled her eyes at him. "Ali? Not good at something? No, something must be wring with the world." She teased, elbowing him gently. "I have too much money as it is, your highness. Think of it as... a birthday gift." Kitty smiled teasingly, looking through the options again eagerly. She settled on a darker, almost black colored ring with a circular amethyst stone set into it every few centimeters. It had intricate little swirls on it laced with silver and she held it up to him. "What do you think?" She asked.

He glared at her tease, shaking his head. He looked over the rings again, looking for a purple one just because. He put an elble on the table and turned to her as she showed him the ring. He put a hand on her wrist, gently pulling the ring closer to admire. "Holy shit," that was barely audible. He pointed at her accusingly with his free hand. "Yes I like it but you can't- it-" He stuttered a little, dropping the pointing finger and looking back at the ring.

Kitty looked a little surprised when he grabbed her wrist, but didn't mind it at all after a moment. She held his gaze and tilted her head just slightly at him, her lips between a smirk and a soft smile. She shook her head at him and raised her free hand to hold a finger to his lips. "I can. I'm going to. You can't stop me." She grinned, dropping her hand and letting him continue to hold her wrist while she held his gaze. In French, she said the equivalent of, 'I'll take this one.'

He glared at her. "You're such a good friend I hate you." He rolled his eyes, smiling at her. He hated it when she ifnored him but it did happen to make him feel strangely special. He stared at the ring then he noticed his hand had been on her wrist the entire time, flushed slightly, tiltig his head down. He put her hand down and took the ring to look at more. "Its so pretty",
