After a few hours, sage did stir, and realized what had happened. He sat up with a groan, running his hands over his face. He was still exhausted, but moved to check on the kids. Xander was there, watching them, so sage took the opportunity to go pass out again, but this time on the actual bed.

Celeste woke up with him. "Hey," she murmured, but he had already gotten up. "How are y-" she started to say when he came back but he was already gone. "Okay then," she sighed. She moved to the nursery curling up on the floor next to her children and sleeping there.

Sage had been focused on the kids, so he hadn't noticed her wake up. Of course, when he woke up and saw her curled up on the floor, he sighed and moved to scoop her up and place her in the bed gently, doing his best not to wake her

Celeste remained asleep.

Sage left her there, and lay down next to her with a sigh. He didn't fall asleep this time, so he could keep an eye on the kids, but he could still rest there with her.

Celeste instinctively curled towards his warmth.

Sage smiled when she curled in, tucking a bit of hair behind her ear

Sage just lay there with her, though eventually moved to sit up and sketch something out. He hadn't been able to just sit and relax and draw like this in....a long time
