Sage heard Anyas voice and looked over at the girl and shook his head slightly. "I'll be fine. We need to get back," he tried to say in a normal voice, but he thought it came out rather...weak. Pathetic, really...he felt his face flush at the thought. But he could force himself to keep going....he didn't want to hold Anya back any more than he already did. He did y wasn't to be more of a burden. He knew she really wanted to get home, and the longer they were out here the longer they had for something to go wrong. If they got kidnapped now, it would be even worse than before ...they were so close to safety. The doctor could help him deal with whatever came with pushing himself....but he just didn't want to be the one to make them slower than they already were. If something happened, it would be his fault.

Anya sighed softly and forced herself up again and gave him her hands to help him up. "Come on then," she huffed slightly and tried a small smile. "We can walk slow if we get going now," she told him with a gentle hum. They could maybe get back today... it'd be dark, but they could do it, she was more than sure of that. "Tell me if you need anything... I don't want you to get hurt again... it'd be my fault if anything happened to you again," she told him in a soft type of whisper before helping him up again and starting to her moving.

Sage nodded and reached for the girl, glad that she was alright with at least walking slowly. But, he was still slowing her down, and he couldn't help but feel awful about it. He nodded, though he'd only ask the girl to stop if he really, really needed it. After a while, another hour or so, he had started to lean on the girl, but tried to keep going. Another half hour or so passed, and it was all he could do to pat the girls shoulder in way that was pretty much pleading with her to stop before his legs gave out and he sat down rather hard, lungs burning. He sort of just stared at the ground, where drops of sweat were occasionally falling. Man, he really couldn't do this. It would be getting dark soon too....he would force himself up again if he could, but he just couldn't. "Five minutes," rasped, not wanting to slow her down any more, but not really knowing if he could manage to get himself up again in that amount of time.

Anya walked alright for a little while, but Sages breath started to rasp next to her, so she was, admittedly, very worried about him... but she was also still wanted to get home. He was pretty much hanging off her side now, and she was struggling to hold the both of them up... so she definitely wasn't opposed to the so called five minutes Sage seemed to have pleaded for. She tried to help him down gently before sitting down next to him and softly patting his back in a type of comforting manner. "Sage," she sighed, "let's stop. It'll take another hour to get back and it's not worth walking it you're gonna end up passing out. And you will if you keep on going like this," she told him gently before passing him some water.

Sage reached a shaky hand out when the girl handed him the water. He really didn't want to stop, but he supposed he didn't have much of a choice if Anya was saying that, so after a moment of hesitation and a doubtful glance at the girl he wheezed out a type of sigh and nodded. She was right....he knew that. He was just worried that they'd get stopped, or something bad would happen, and it would be his fault because he wasn't strong enough to push through a few hours of walking. It was pathetic really, but he couldn't find a way to fix himself. He certainly wasn't a doctor. The thought send a wave of emotion through his body. He missed the old man, and his nagging...he really did.

Anya hummed for a moment and gently patted his back before placing the bag down next to him. "I'm gonna do a little circle and see if there's any shelter we can get to," she told him and tried a weary-looking smile. She reached out and cupped his cheek softly. "Deep breaths, remember?" She asked before standing up and starting a little walk around the area... eventually, the girl found a small shelter that looked like it'd been an old fort for some kids... but it hadn't been seen too in a long while. She grabbed some sticks and dry leaves before chucking them on the slant that had become a roof, trying to make it a little more waterproof before wandering back over to Sage and squatting down in front of him. "Can you walk for just a little longer? I've found somewhere that the wind won't get to us," she told him gently.

Sage nodded breathlessly at Anyas first comment and then waved her off, not wanting to burden the girl any more. Besides, it was a good idea....staying out in the open probably wasn't the best idea, especially with him so tired. He kind of just focused on catching his breath while the girl wandered around. He wasn't sure how long he sat there, but once the girl came back he nodded and reached a hand out to use her help as he staggered to his feet again. He didn't want to waste his breath talking, so he kept quiet, and he tried to walk by himself as much as he could, though he quickly realized he needed the girls support. By the time they got to the fort, he was gasping for air again, and practically collapsed in a corner, curling up into a shaky ball and closing his eyes wearily.

Anya carefully helped the boy towards the sheltered area, and carried the bag in her other arm... once's they'd gotten there, she helped him down before sitting just next to where he'd curled up... she noticed his shaking, so carefully pulled the skirt of her other outfit out of the bag and unhooked it that it appeared more like a blanket. She shifted so that she was on her good side before fanning it out so that it covered the both of them... really, it was only covering their legs and a bit of their torso, but hopefully it'd keep the boy just a bit warmer. If the both of them were under there then they'd warm up a bit more anyways.

Sage glanced up at the girl blearily when he felt the fabric settle over him, and shifted so his back was pressed up against the girl lightly. She was warm, and while he was a bit chilly, he was more pressing against her just for the comfort of knowing she was there, and alright. Most of the shaking, as far as he could tell, was just from exertion. Of course, he was hot from walking, so he could be cold and just not realize it yet. Which, of that was the case, he definitely needed a blanket of some kind. But he was too tired to care by then, so he closed his eyes again and let himself fall asleep.

Anya felt the boy press his back against hers, and leaned over to gently pat his side before settling down again, curling up as much as she could without hurting herself too much. She eventually managed to force herself to sleep... but it wasn't at all comfortable. She was really just wanted to go home... to see her little family and make sure they were all safe. She didn't know what state the castle was in. Or if there was even anyone she cared about there... if they were alive or well, she didn't know. Those thoughts seemed to have filled her dreams, making her twitch and squirm for a good few hours before she finally managed to get comfortable again.
