Mercy rolled her eyes, picking Binx up as he went to 'Accost' Ajax again. She cradled the cat in her lap and stroked his head quietly. "Well; you can jump out the window, yes. Theres also a front door, but that would require you to use your braincells. What, you wanna leave a poor, defenseless angel all alone and fly away to a cave?" She joked. Ajax made a face, groaning slightly. "Braincells? You may have to explain what that word means. I think the window would be a greaaat option, no brain-kell-whatevers required." Ajax forced his voice to be questioning, but hints of laughter crept through at some points. He stood up from the bed and gave her a look at her last sentence. "For one, you are not defensless. You are terrifying. For two, I couldn' fly if I wanted to. For three, I'm not going to the cave." He answered, finding the front door and leaving, eventually finding outside, and going right to where a dog about the size of a small bear tried to leap into his arms. "Ouch- oof- Rex- off- ow- pain" Ajax grumbled, pushing the dog off again. The big dog had a build like a St. Bernard, the muscles of a Doberman, and more of the face of a German Shepherd. Altogether it could have been used in a horror film... for looks. "Okay gentle giant back up, can't you tell I'm handicapped." Ajax sighed, though there was a grin on his face. Rex woofed happily and looked mischevious for a second, then gave Ajax a big, very slobbery (St Bernard's fault) lick. "Heeeeyyy! You KNOW not to do that!" Ajax exclaimed as he wiped the drool off the new shirt that didn't look so new anymore. "I made it more than 100 steps, ha." He mumbled

"I figured I would have to explain it." She teased, unable to refrain from laughing. "Hey! I am not terrifying. I'm just... intimidating." She huffed. She watched him walk away and heard the door open, dropping Binx and scrambling after him in shock. While wearing socks. She hurried after him, watching the interaction happily. "Awh, he's so cute!" She smiled, walking toward the massive dog with her hand outstretched, palm down, for him to sniff.

Ajax looked at Mercy with his eyebrows raised. "Cute? Mr T-Rex over there?" He asked doubtfully, about the same time as Rex decided to stand on his hindlegs, a good head taller than Mercy, and give her a sloppy kiss. "Aw great job Rex, yes you can do it to her. Not to be." Ajax suppressed laughter, knowing it would hurt. Rex hopped off and slowly wagged his tail, sitting down with a slight huff. He the proceeded to look quite annoyed at Ajax. "I think he's annoyed at me. I wonder why that could be." He mused drily, still brushing off little bits of dog hair that clung to his clothing like there was no tomorrow.

"Yeah, you don't think he's-" She got cut off as Rex decided to give her a gigantic kiss. Mercy grinned, wiping the dig saliva off her face. "That was- sweet." She giggled, kneeling and giving Rex a kiss on the head as she ruffled his fur, scratching him behind the ears. "Oh, my. I wonder." She said sarcastically, looking up at him.

Ajax snickered at Mercy's words. "Rex has always been ... sweet ... if that's what you want to call it." He chuckled. Rex let his long tongue loll out of his mouth and pressed his big head into Mercy, whining happily. "He acts like I give him no attention." Ajax complained, then let his eyebrows shoot up at what she said. "Hey, I had a good reason to be gone." He huffed

Mercy smiled, gently hugging the dog and continuing to fluff up his coat. "Because you probably don't." She teased, placing another gentle kiss on Rex's head, looking back up at Ajax after. "Oh? And what was that? You becoming a piece of cheese, or before, when some rando decided to rough you up?"

Rex looked just about as happy as a dog could, his big tail thumping against the ground. Ajax looked offended at what Mercy said, shaking his head. "I give him a lot of attention." He retorted, snorting at her second comments. "A piece of swiss cheese." Ajax answered defensively, not being able to help but grin. He decided standing for much longer would just kill him, and using that as a way to plant himself outside the apartement for a while. It's not like Mercy would have a good time lifting him to get him back up, so she would just have to wait. Ajax lowered himself to the ground with a slight huff, and held up his hand when Rex gave him a look and took a step towards him. "I'm too fragile for you to bowl me over, wait a week." Ajax mumbled with a snort

Mercy rolled her eyes as Ajax settled on the ground, promptly sitting next to Rex. "Wow, the all-mighty Ajax admit he's fragile? I never thought I'd hear that." She snorted, gently tugging Rex the step back toward her and pushing him into a laying position so she could attempt to scratch his belly. "I assume you're not planning on going anywhere anytime soon, you big lump?" She asked Ajax teasingly.

"All-mighty? Who ever said that? At the moment, yes, I am fragile. When you cannot breath or laugh or chuckle or even grin without feeling pain you can be considered fragile." he snorted defensively, but couldn't help smiling slightly. Rex promptly tipped over and sprawled on his back when Mercy pushed him over, going limp with a happy snort. "Naw, I'm not planning on moving much more than an inch for the next half hour or so." Ajax drawled, but he knew THAT would never happen. Sitting still for any amount of time was like torture to his brain.... his body may enjoy it, but his mind did not.
