Sage cackled when the girl squeaked and really only laughed harder at her attempts to roll him off of her. He just sort of stayed limp, which would be rather difficult to wrangle, especially since he had long limbs. "You don't have to prove it," he protested. "I know darn well you're better at reading people than I am," he chirped. "Though I must say, they're better than your attempts to get me off of you," he teased the girl, poking her lightly.

The girl groaned when he went limp, which really just made him heavier. She gave him a type of playful glare when he teased and poked her, and she wriggled herself around as she tried to get herself out from under him again. "It's not my fault you're a heavy lump of a boy!" She complained before going limp herself and flopping her arms to the side in a type of defeat. "I hate you," she eventually groaned, though her voice was still up beat and playful... and there was a stupid grin on her face.

Sage giggled and looked over at the girl with a grin. "If you think that's gonna gete to move you're wrong," he chirped. He was enjoying messing around with the girl...they hadn't played like this in a while, and it was good to unwind for a bit. "Love you too," he hummed in response to her complaint, not in a romantic way but more of a brotherly type of love, and of course he knew that's more or less what the girl had meant.

Anya huffed after a little while and just accepted the fact that she really wasn't going to her out from under the boy until he'd bored himself. "Ugh," she groaned after a short moment, a slight giggle escaping her. "You're such a prick!" She yelped, trying one more little wriggle to get free from him before completely giving up. An idea popped into her head after a moment and wrapped her arms back around his sides and tightened her hold on him. "Fine. If you're not gonna move them you can stay like this," she huffed after a moment, knowing full well it wasn't reasonable but she was rather amused by it anyway.

Sage let out a rather amused giggle at the girl's playful insults and gave her a wide grin in response. Of course, he let out a squeak when she grabbed him, and he felt a light blush cross his face. He huffed out a breath and gave the girl a pouty face, even though he knew she probably couldn't actually see him. "Jerk," he muttered, the time of his voice and grin now back on his face telling the opposite story.

Anya grinned at his little insult but gave him a laugh anyway. "You're a bigger jerk," she accused as she gave him another squeeze. "You're the one that wouldn't let me up!" She added with a small giggle. She really did rather enjoy the messing around like this... her arms and legs still hurt, and so did her sides, but being able just to mess around like this seemed to take away from the pain. She didn't think she'd ever messed about like this with Luther... she'd never been comfortable enough to. Sage was a bit different in that aspect, she supposed... she'd never really been uncomfortable around him, rather she'd gotten herself angry at him in some way and then it was alright again.

Sage snorted at her first comment and then giggled at her second. "You make a good pillow," he protested lightly, really just teasing the girl at this point. He had to admit that being able to screw around like this without any romantic tendencies was nice. Of course, the romance between the two of them was also super nice, but they didn't need that to enjoy each other's company, he supposed. Anya was nice, really nice, and he had to admit that once they'd gotten to know eachother and had spent some time apart...well, she was like a sister to him rather than a lover sort of thing. And it was nice, having someone like that again. She wouldn't replace Liz, of course, but...she did make everything easier. He rolled off of Any so he could look at the girl and then rolled on his back to watch the clouds with a soft sigh.

Anya let out a sigh of relief when the boy finally let her go. Her chest seemed to rise and fall a little quicker once the pressure had been taken off it, but she still had a huge grin across her face. "I'm the best pillow. Everyone agrees," she hummed lightly before shifting so that she was laying in her side next to him and poked his side a little gentler again. "I've missed you," she stated with a light smile across her face. "This you, I mean... not when you're all depressed and hurt, but when you're actually friendly," she hummed softly to him before flopping on her side. "You're not awfully forgiving when you're not feeling well," she added after a moment or so of quiet.

Sage chuckled slightly and nodded. "Well I can agree to everyone else," he hummed in a rather amused tone of voice. He hummed in agreement to her second comment, tilting his head to sort of rest against her shoulder. "Yeah," he sighed. "I know I can be a bit of a butt head sometimes," he chuckled. He tried...he definitely didn't like to feel all depressed and hurt, as Anya had put it, but sometimes he couldn't keep all those crazy feelings at bay. He did try of course, but sometimes it was just so hard... especially at night when he was alone.

Anya let the boy rest his head against his shoulder and flashed him a light smile before leaning towards him ever so slightly and placed a friendly hand on the side of his neck, where his hair started before gently running her thumb up and down with a slight sigh. "Butt head," she repeated with a laugh. "What are you, ten?" The girl teased before shaking her head. "I know it's hard for you, I do... and I wish we could help you, but it it's had to see you when you get in your head... it's like you're a different person," she told him quietly before closing her eyes for short moment as she tried to get herself comfortable in the hay.
