"You uh-you okay?" Gale asks, curious.

The hairs on the back of his neck pricked up when Kayla spoke. He sat up, body already tensing as his first instinct was to reach for a arrow from his quivel yet he didn't have one. "Kayla," His voice was dangerous, seeming commanding. "What do you mean 'something's off'?" Gale asked, meeting her gaze with a flat one--needing answers.

"Grab something that kills. I can hear hoofbeats and armor." She warned, darting over and grabbing a few daggers from a table

"Shit shit shit SHIT!" Gale muttered under his breath, looking almost scared for the first time. He lunged for his bow, loading an arrow and grabbing his quivel before loading his belt with knives and daggers. The man slid a long, thick blade beside them, bow aimed at the entry to the tent.

A man in a full suit of armor waltzed in, crossbow pointed at Gale's chest. "Don't move" He threatened, kayla's hand inching toward the table again for another dagger. "I said don't move!" He bellowed, three more men rushing in and pointing crossbows at them both. "Shit" Kayla muttered

Gale sized them all up, the armor could provide protection to vitle areas yet the cracks could kill. One was short and stocky, wouldn't be a quick runner compared to Gale's tall, athletic build. The second was tall and a beanstalk, no muscle growth on him whatsoever. Longer torso which meant his running strides wouldn't be as quick, which meant it'd take him more energy to carry himself across a distance quickly. The third was tall, long legged, and looked like he could rip a person's throat out with no hesitation. The fourth? Average height, very stocky, no helmet. None of them had helmets, weird. Gale released his arrow at the short and stocky one's head, it impaling with a sickening sound that didn't faze any of them.

Kayla whipped a dagger at another's temple, watching the man fall as another guy shot his crossbow. Kayla ducked away fast enough, the tip tearing her blouse

Gale wrestled the weapons out of the last two's hands, grinning as he did so before ending them both simply. "Yeah, let's go ahead and get out of here. Pretty sure we're dead if we stay," He mused, grabbing their arrows.
