Sage wrinkled his nose slightly, squealing whhen she poked him. Well, he was still ticklish....of all the things that had changed, why couldn't that? Then again, he sort of liked playing with the girl like that, so he supposed it was alright. "Well I'm going to tell your mother if shea going to get us all killed," he snorted. He shook his head and huffed out a breath at her next comment. "No! There was a grasshopper!" Then he chuckled and nudged the girl. "What, I'm dim, remember? The grasshopper was interesting! Your conversation was ...less interesting," he giggled.

"Really? A grass hopper? I thought we were joking about you being dim!" She laughed as she gave him a grin. "That's really no better than grass, you do know that?" Anya hummed with a light chuckle. When the boy squeaked at her little poke, all she could really do was laugh at him... he'd always been a pretty scary person, but the fact he could get so flustered and be so ticklish always made him seem that bit more human... and it made teasing him a whole lot easier for her. "Maybe you should listen to conversations... you know, figure out how they work without upsetting everyone around you?" She teased as she poked his side again, really just finding his reactions amusing at this point.

Sage wri kled his nose slightly at Anyas comment. "Hey, it was a cool grasshopper," he protested with a giggle. Then he pouted when the girl laughed and continued on, crossing his arms and looking down his nose at the girl. "Well, maybe I don't want to." It was really all a joke, but of course it had some truth to it. Though, he broke down with a squeal once she poked him again.

Anya couldn't help her little laughs of delight when the boy protested watching conversations, and again when he squealed at her little pokes. "You're so damn cute," she commented with another laugh. "I doubt grass hoppers can be nearly as interesting as me wooing random cart drivers?" She asked with a cocked head, clearly ever so amused. They had about three or so hours until they had their stop, so she supposed they might as well make it fun.

Sage snorted in response to Anya calling him cute and rolled his eyes good naturedly. "The grasshopper was definitely more interesting than watching people flap their mouths about. Well, one of you flap you mouth about," he giggled, teasing the girl a bit about the way she ran up to the man and just started talking right away. The man had probably only gotten one or two words in at that. "I think it was more pity than anything that got us on the back of this cart," he snorted, though he knew he probably wouldn't have been able to do what Anya had done. Then again, he probably would have snuck on, or ignored a cart completely if he were on his own. But hey, if they were going to sit here for as long as they were, they could have some fun.

Anya gasped playfully when he said the bug was more interesting. "Well, I suppose that means you have awful taste in entertainment." she hummed lightly before furrowing her brows in a fake type of mockery. "What? You don't think it was my outstanding charm and wonderful people skills that got us on here?" The girl asked in a type of upbeat accusatory tone. "Whatever, you were never very good a reading people anyways," she hummed lightly as she sat up again and gently tugged on a longer bit of his hair and started to plait it absent-mindedly. "I'm not either, I suppose... but at least I'm better at it than you are," the girl finished with a light chuckle.

Sage snorted out a laugh and shrugged. "Well, guess I'm just a little bit dim," he chirped, chuckling at the rest of the girls comments. "It not hard, Anya," he hummed in a rather amused tone. He half noticed the girl start playing with his hair, though he didn't pay much attention to it. She could do what she wanted....and if it helped pass the time, then why not. Besides, doing something familiar may help the girl keep her mind off of the danger they were still in. He could joke around, and play, but he still kept an eye out for anything suspicious. Anything that might be bad. He supposed it was just habit, but he could have some fun too. He just didn't want to have fun and not notice something, and have that lead to them getting caught again.

Anya rolled her eyes when he said it wasn't hard, and she looked like he'd just assaulted her in the most disrespectful way possible. "If it's 'not that hard' you could've done it," she hummed, though her voice was dripping with amusement. Once she'd finished a messy looking plait she grinned and gave it a gentle tug. She had to admit, she was happy they could just mess around a little bit. She suspected there was a fair amount going on in both of their heads... so she supposed the messing around was a way to get around it without letting things get more depressing than they needed to be. And, if she was being honest, she'd rather mess around like this.

Sage chuckled and shook his head. "No, no...I meant it's not that hard to be better at reading people than me," he giggled. "Not that it's not hard to read people." Then he wrinkled his nose slightly and grinned sheepishly. "Besides, I can read them I just don't care what they think," he chirped. "If they want to be a cranky old sourpuss then that's on them!" He grinned at the girl when she tugged on his brain and then put his hand over his heart and gasped dramatically. "You killed me," he giggled, flopping over on top of the girl.

Anya squeaked with a small type of laugh when the boy fell back onto her, and let out an involuntary type of yelp. "No! Sage! I can't get home without you!" She yelped in a type mocking tone. "If you die I can't prove how much better I am at reading people that you are," she complained, though pretty much wrapped her arms around his side as she tried to roll him off her, though not to much avail.
