Sage chuckled and nodded, sitting up and stretching as the girl continued to talk. He didn't really want to get up and get going, it was nice to sit around and do nothing, but he did know that they needed to eat and get going at some point. He nodded in response to her comments, knowing she was right. "Don't spend a bunch of money though. we might need it later," he hummed. They didn't know where they were or what was even going on. "And we'll have to be careful about who we ask and how we ask it. If people are looking for us, that's a clue. Especially because of these " he pointed to his bandages, which peeked out from the sleeves of his tunic.

Anya nodded in agreement as a thought crossed her mind. "I wonder if we could catch a ride on the back of a hay waggon or something. It would get us a head a little bit, and we won't have to worry quite so much about out running the guys that had us before... we can take it a bit easier. And we need a little

while to rest." She murmured almost absentmindedly before looking to him with a cocked head. He might not like that idea... and he was right about being careful. The wrong person could put them in a very bad position. She looked at his bandages and gave a gentle sigh. "If anyone asks you were being dim and wrapped a lead rope around your wrists. The horse you were holding spooked and now you have rope burn," she hummed with a small, almost teasing smile, "but that's only if you're alright with people thinking you're dim," she added with a soft chuckle.

Sage chuckled and nodded after a moment of thought. "That would work, we'd just have to be careful and not get caught," he hummed. "If we caught and get arrested or asked questions, that won't be good." Then he snorted in response to the girl's next comment. "Me? Dim? What are you talking about," he chirped. "I was smart enough to let go of that lead rope eventually, no," he chuckled. He was more than fine with seeming a little stupid...he kind of was. And it made it a bit more believable.

Anya grinned at the boy in an almost childish manner. "No," she hummed, "The lead rope snapped and that's the only reason you're not still being dragged around," she teased with a soft poke to the side... it was only gentle because didn't really know where he was hurting... he'd actually been very good about not complaining about it. He'd been through it a lot more than she had, and she was fighting herself every second not to complain to him. She shook her head after a moment before letting out a small chuckle. "Not that you're silly enough to let that happen, though."

Sage rolled his eyes at Anyas teasing and snorted out a laugh. "Maybe being dragged around is more fun than you think," he retorted, eyes glittering in a way they hadn't in a while. It was odd ....he should be complaining about how everything hurt, or that they'd been kidnapped and brought to who knows where....but the experience had done nothing but bring him closer to his old self than anything the castle had done. Maybe he just had to learn to fight again...or maybe it was a familiar environment to what he was used to, and he'd finally been able to act like himself. Either way, he supposed the experience wasn't all bad. Once everything stopped hurting so much, he probably wouldn't have much to complain about, even if he'd wanted to.

Anya rolled her eyes slightly and shook her head. "I don't think it is. Imagine being so completely and utterly dumb that you got yourself concussed from being dragged around because it was 'fun,'" she hummed with a small laugh. It was an amusing thought... and it was nice to see Sage a little bit back to his old self... she hadn't seen him like that in, well, years. She was teasing a little bit too... which was good because she definitely wasn't as used to the whole getting kidnapped and bossed around the way he was.

Sage chuckled and shrugged. "Maybe the concussion makes me imagine things so if I say something odd it's just me being dumb," he chirped, practically bouncing over to the window to peek out. There was no sign of any sort of trouble...just the village bustling about under them. "But even if I am dumb, I know I'm hungry. What do you say to breakfast," he hummed bouncing back over to where Anya was still in the bed and peering down at the girl with a grin. "We wouldn't want my remaining brain cell to starve to death, now would we?"

Anya groaned when he peered over her. "You can't blame a fake concussion on everything you say, Sage," she told him with a laugh before reaching up and placing both hands on each of his cheeks. "Aww is Sagey about to loose his last brain cell? I suppose that means we need to eat, then, doesn't it?" She asked him with a teasing chuckle before flopping back in the bed, still reluctant to leave the comfort of the four walls. They could stop and get a good breakfast though, she supposed... and then they could find out where they were. If they could find someone going even a little bit towards her home... then it would definitely be a good idea to grab a ride, too. She gave a slight stretch before seeming to relax again. "It might not be a bad thing if you loose it. I can have you do all my dirty work and you wouldn't think twice of it," she hummed teasingly.

Sage chuckled and grinned down at the girl when she placed her hands on his face. "No, but I can blame a little bit on a concussion," he chirped. He gave the girl a bit of a playful pout at her next comment, then squawked and whacked the girls arm lightly at her last comment. "I can't write well enough to do all your papers," he protested with an amused tone of voice, even though he was pretending to be...well...not amused. "I might loose it, but that just means I'll draw all over important papers rather than doing actual work," he giggled. "The rest of your so called dirty work is dealing with your mother, and if she doesn't like me now, she won't like a lost-it me," he giggled. Then he poked the girl on the side with a huff. "come on, I wanna eat," he whined. "You can bring the blanket with you if it's so cozy."

Anya gave a almost villainous looking grin when he said her mother wouldn't like to deal with him when he lost it. "Ha! No, she'd hate it! That's perfect," she grinned before forcing herself to sit up again. "Kill two birds with one stone, right?" She chuckled cheekily before shaking her head. "That way she's more likely to kill you when you scribble all over my papers... and that means I have some entertainment for myself," she teased lightly. She nodded when he said she could bring the blanket with her and wrapped herself up in it before hopping out of bed. The two made their way down towards the little restaurant like area, where a couple other rather rugged looking people who'd spent the night were eating. She quickly mentioned to Sage to order them some food before she plopped herself down on a small chair in the corner.
