Sage nodded when Anya flicked the water at him, a tiny giggle coming from his mouth as he grinned over at the girl. He allowed her to help him to his feet, and support him as they started walking again. "If we stay near the lake, it'll lead to a town eventually, and we always have water," he wheezed out after a few minutes of silent walking. He was exhausted by then, but they had to find something before he allowed himself a rest. After a while, he wasn't really sure how long, he saw some buildings in the distance that looked like a village. He pointed weakly, wheezing out "is that there or have I started to hallucinate," to Anya. In all honesty, a hallucination could possibly happen, but he hoped it was actually a town where they could get some food and warm clothes, maybe shelter at the very least, even if it was sneaking into a barn or something for the night.

Anya cocked her head and looked in the direction he pointed in. "Well, I don't think you're having a hallucination," she hummed as she saw some buildings through the trees. "Let's go there," she murmured after a moment and made a slight turn towards the village. She looked up a little bit, and the sky was turning a kind of orange... they'd need to find everything they needed relatively soon. She didn't like being anywhere while it was dark. She felt for her wrist and quickly slipped her bracelet off before giving a slight huff. "I'm sure there'll be a little jewellery stand or something that I can pawn this off to," she thought out loud. "Do you want to scout around a little bit and see if there's a tavern or a room to rent or something? We're gonna need shelter... and I'd rather sleep in a bed than a barn again, wouldn't you?" She huffed with slightly pursed lips.

Sage hummed and nodded after listening to Anyas suggestion. "I can go look around," he hummed. "We can meet up by that building there. Should be easy enough to see from other places in town." It was a large building, made of red bricks rather than the usual brown bricks or wooden houses and shops. He slipped away from Anya, taking a moment to steady himself before walking off, slowly but surely. He walked around for a bit before finding a tavern not too far from the building they should meet at, and it had decent pricing for a tavern. He wandered back to the building, sitting down to wait for Anya.

Anya wandered around for a little while, flashing the piece at a couple of different dealers until someone offered a decent price for it... she'd definitely paid a lot more for it, but it was more than enough for the two of them. She hesitantly swapped it for some cash and quickly counted it up before wandering back towards their meeting spot. She passed a small clothes stand and picked up some pretty basic but warm-looking clothes for the two of them... she didn't know what size Sage was, but as long as it wasn't too small she didn't think it'd matter. She found Sage quickly and offered a kind of sheepish smile. "It's nicer here than it is by the castle," she guffed quietly before handing him a small bag of coins. "There's more than enough there. I take it you found a tavern or something? " she asked with a cocked head. "Oh, I picked up these for you. Should fit," she added before showing him the small pile of clothes.

Sage chuckled slightly and nodded at Anyas comment, then took the bag of clothes she gave him and nodded again. "I can change once we get to the tavern. It's not too far away from here, thank goodness," he informed the girl. He pushed himself to his feet with a sort of painted grunt and pointed in the direction of the tavern. "It just past the corner up there, maybe five minutes away." Which was good, because he really wast sure he'd make it much further. The thought was almost amusing, it sounded so pathetic. But, at least they could get a good night's sleep.

Anya smiled lightly at the boy when he pointed in the direction of the tavern. "I suppose we can get a drink and some food there too," she told him with a slight hum. "I'm starving," she complained with another huff before wandering towards the tavern. She'd meant it when she said this place was nicer than the village by the castle... it was much brighter, much more... refined. Which was weird, because the village by the castle should have more money going through it. They wandered into the tavern after a couple of minutes of walking and had a look around before Anya glanced back towards Sage. "Food first?" She asked with a cocked head.

Sage nodded when the girl asked about food ...it would be good to eat something he supposed. "I vote we grab something and bring it to our room to eat," he hummed, yawning at the thought of a good night's sleep. He was really hungry though, so he'd keep himself awake enough to have a good meal. Or at the very least, a decent snack that filled him up. It would be good to eat something, though, so he followed the girl to the kitchen area where they ordered their food and walked up to their room, already munching on their meal. When they got to the room, Sage looked around and took a pillow from the bed and placed it in the corner of the room and sat down on it. He could sleep on the floor, he really didn't mind. Yes, a bed would be nice, but it might be weird for Anya if they slept together now...if she wanted to invite him in the bed, he'd gladly come, but he wasn't going to just assume he would be up there.

Anya set down on the corner of the bed once they got to the room, and started to eat before she noticed Sage had grabbed a pillow from the bed. She finished a mouthful before giving a slight chuckle to the boy. "What're you doing?" she asked with a cocked head. She then went back to her food... it was safe to say she was hungry... she guessed Sage would be too. His wrist didn't look great... and he'd been walking all day. She had a little look around the room for a moment and gave a soft sigh. It looked pretty good compared to the tavern by the castle. Well, it wasn't crumbling, but the room was still dark. A step or so up from the other tavern, for sure.

Sage cocked his head at Anya when she asked her question, taking another bite of food and swallowing before answering. "I'll sleep over here," he told the girl before taking another bite of food. He would have explained more, but he was hungry and tired, and the girl would have to make do with that answer for a bit. Especially since he didn't really know what else to say in response to the girls question.

Anya shook her head slightly and patted the bed. "You can sleep on the bed, you know," she huffed before rolling her eyes. Once she'd finished the food, she grabbed her plate and then went to take Sages once she'd finished before disappearing out the door to drop the plates off in the kitchen again. She reappeared in the room after a couple of minutes with two glasses of water and handed one to Sage before tilting her head towards the sink in the corner. "Go and make sure your wrists are all clean," she told him with a sigh. "If they get infected I think you'd end up without any hands," she added with a tiny chuckle.
